HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVIE

Today we are celebrating little Evie's 8th Birthday.

So, at lunchtime Stew and I will go out to Rowena's for her birthday party.

Until then, we will probably just have a quiet morning here.

I mentioned we went on a little buggy ride last night, it was around the property Rowena and Aleisha live on.

ABOVE:  THAT was an experience we did not expect!  I was scared, but not TERRIFIED.  lol

So far on this trip, we have:
- Been on a Plane
- Been on a Tram
- Been on a Train
- Been on a Bus
- Been on a Ferris Wheel
- Been on a Boat
- Been on a Buggy
And of course a car.

Rowena is determined to get us on everything.
I assured her a Helicopter, Hover Craft and Submarine were out of the question!

Let's not mention Hot Air Balloons, cos that will NEVER happen either!

This trip really has, and still is, amazing.  So much fun.  A bit freakin' hot, but we ain't melted... yet.  πŸ˜…πŸ˜
Right, I'm off to have a shower, get dressed and start our day.

12.38 pm. We realised a shop we wanted to re-visit was closed tomorrow,  so we jumped on the motorway and went back into the city.
Grabbed what I wanted and we are now almost back at Rowena's for a birthday lunch party.
OMG it is STINKING HOT!!!!

Just found out its 33 degrees right now... heading to 35.

ABOVE: Watching Joyce and Evie on the climbing tower. In this heat, they are beetroot red in the face super fast.

ABOVE: I might not look it, but I'm melting.

WHERE IS EVERYONE??? You peeps are very quiet, you better be having fun.

5.16 pm, Aussy Time.  We are just in from the birthday party... which went very well.

My photos have loaded back to front!   Never had that happen before.

ABOVE: The climbing tower, folded down and ready to leave.
It was incredibly popular with all the kids.

ABOVE: Evie blowing out her candles.

ABOVE: Stew keeping cool, as we all did, under a large gazebo, and a huge fan blowing on us.

ABOVE: Kids having fun.

ABOVE:  Me sitting in my sister's chair... cos it had a cushion that went down the back of my legs.  The march flies (Horse Flies) were vicious!  I got several bites.  Nasty things.

ABOVE:  Charlie on a pony...

ABOVE: Joyce on a pony...

ABOVE:  Joyce again.

ABOVE: The birthday girl, Evie, on a pony. Aliesha proudly standing by her girl.

ABOVE: How to feed lots of kids... chips, chicken nuggets, lots of fresh fruits, lollies and cake.

Stew and I struggled with the heat today, it really was getting up there.

Now that we are back at the motel, we have the air conditioning on, the ceiling fan going at 90 miles an hour and are just chilling!
I shall sign off now, as I just want to relax.
Catch ya tomorrow... when we will be going home, late in the afternoon.

  6. Swap you for 12 deg but feels like 8. Tomorrow we are expecting 16 deg but 5-10mm of rain. Last time I was in Queensland it was 40 degrees at 9am and we had to be outside for a funeral. I was hiding under a tree sitting on one of the few chairs supplying

What is a buggy? It is starting to get cold up here in Canada and the leaves are falling. I don’t mind the cold but I don’t do the hot summer days to well. Gigi

OMG, did you just say you are too HOT??!
Just been catching up on your posts for the last couple of days - apart from Dracula, looks as if you are having a wonderful time. Great pictures, and you are both looking really happy - though I’m sure there are a lot of mixed emotions too.

Looks like a fantastic birthday party! Did all of those fun things come to the home of the birthday girl? Ponies and climbing walls? Or did you go somewhere? Fun!
