FRIDAY IN AUSTRALIA

Another day dawns in Brisbane hospital.  Noisy, shitty place.  First up for me is to visit the cafeteria to find some diet coke.

I have had to drink Coke Zero again since last night, and while it's acceptable, it's not me favourite.

My sister and I had a 'reasonable' night, I'm surprised how I can actually sleep here!

Depending on how Lorraine is today, she MIGHT get to go home.  I'm hoping like hell she can, so I don't have to spend another night here.  It is very tiring here in the hospital.  So much going on, or not.  Sitting on ya bum all day is tiring.

TOMORROW afternoon, I am booked into the IBIS BRISBANE AIRPORT HOTEL, in readiness for flying out on Sunday morning.   NOT the Ibis BUDGET !!!  Never again will I stay there.  ๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜

But back to today.  It will be pretty much the same as yesterday.  Maybe the Dr's or Palliative Team will come around and sort out Lorraine getting out of here.  That would be soooooo good.

ABOVE:  I threw this small waterproof bag in my suitcase ... thinking I'd use it for me washing.  But nope, it's come in handy as an overnight, hospital bag.

ABOVE: It doesn't matter where you go in the world, you can't get away from cranes.  Those two looked rather neat against the night sky.  They were lit up with white lights.  Hard to show in the dusk light.

Right, I'm off to find DIET COKE.

Catch ya later.

I managed to leave the ward, go down in the lifts and find SHOPS! LOL.... but I went down for some diet coke.

ABOVE: I passed some nice ladies selling hand made crafts. So I stopped for a yak. Showed them what I make. They loved my Scrappy dolls.
Back with Lorraine now, and the girls are due here within the hour.

12.54 pm, Aussy time. It's been a busy morning again. Meetings with doctors, care teams etc. Getting ducks in a row for getting Lorraine  home next week.  I'm feeling confident I can go home for a week, then come back.

ABOVE: My niece Maxine has saved my sanity. She gave me her brand new puzzle book. Mine now ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Š, thanks Max.

ABOVE: Walkers have their uses. Just saying.

6.35 pm, and my sister is doing much, much better.  She still has to stay here for a few more days, but it's looking positive for a discharge early next week.
I'm feeling much better about my plans to fly home on Sunday.

I'm going to sign off for the day now, as we are both just going to chill out for the remainder of the evening.
Catch ya tomorrow.
