Another day dawns in Brisbane hospital. Noisy, shitty place. First up for me is to visit the cafeteria to find some diet coke.
I have had to drink Coke Zero again since last night, and while it's acceptable, it's not me favourite.
My sister and I had a 'reasonable' night, I'm surprised how I can actually sleep here!
Depending on how Lorraine is today, she MIGHT get to go home. I'm hoping like hell she can, so I don't have to spend another night here. It is very tiring here in the hospital. So much going on, or not. Sitting on ya bum all day is tiring.
TOMORROW afternoon, I am booked into the IBIS BRISBANE AIRPORT HOTEL, in readiness for flying out on Sunday morning. NOT the Ibis BUDGET !!! Never again will I stay there. ๐๐
But back to today. It will be pretty much the same as yesterday. Maybe the Dr's or Palliative Team will come around and sort out Lorraine getting out of here. That would be soooooo good.
ABOVE: I threw this small waterproof bag in my suitcase ... thinking I'd use it for me washing. But nope, it's come in handy as an overnight, hospital bag.
Right, I'm off to find DIET COKE.
Catch ya later.
I managed to leave the ward, go down in the lifts and find SHOPS! LOL.... but I went down for some diet coke.
You're right! I've done nighs in hospital in a dining chair with my head on the wall trying to get a few ZZZ. But I would have sat on a bucket if I had too. Ii hope you get.good news today and ฤนorraine can go home and enjoy some sunshine with her sister. Thinking of you both. ❤️ ๐ซ kj
ReplyDeleteHope you both get out from there soon. It's certainly not a fun place to be.
ReplyDeleteLorraine! Sending you all the positive and healing vibes from Minnesota, USA. I imagine being in hospital sucks no matter where in the world you are!
ReplyDeleteI had a Coke Zero today. IDK... I might be making the switch... It's got that TANG!
Hope the “coke” hunting went ok.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed Lorraine gets to go home soon.
Although time passes slowly for you at the moment the week has whizzed by.
hope Lorraine continues to feel a bit better, and go home, for some R and R. Hospitals are grim!!! Christy in Sydney
ReplyDeleteHope Lorraine is able to go home. And you too. Tough times.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you’ve found an alternative for the Walker Chris!
ReplyDeleteAlso happy you had a bit of sleep as well it’s fabulous you’re there with Lorraine too.
You’re going to look back on Sunday night and think you’re still in Australia ๐น
So happy They’re doing a plan for Lorraine to go home
Thinking of you all both sides of the Tassie and 2 more sleeps and you’ll be back home for a wee while ๐ฅ๐ฏ✈️
Cheers ๐ฅ
