SEEING LACY TODAY

*YAWN*... bit tired this morning.  I didn't sleep well at all.

Most annoying.

I've had the dogs in my room with me overnight the past two nights.  That's because Stew has been up in Auckland since Tuesday morning.

I NEVER EVER say anything about him being 'away' until he's due home.  It's just a safety thing.

I thought having the girls in my room with me would be somehow comforting.  HA HA Ha!  Nope.  They sniff and snort, go in and out of the room, try and jump up on the bed and so on.  They ended up being kicked out around 2.30 am, both nights.

Not doing that again.

I really missed Stew, and am looking forward to him coming home this afternoon.

This morning Lacy and I are visiting our Doctor.  We are hoping the Doctor can get Lacy seen at the hospital for her umbilical hernia a bit faster.  Lacy first saw a Doctor about her hernia MONTHS ago, but nothing has happened.  So we suggested she see our Doctor, who got Stew sorted out quick smart. So that's on the agenda today.

Once that is done, I suppose I'll come home and do something around here.  I am missing sewing, so I might even do a few runners over the next week or two, and just build up my stash.

It's better than sitting on me arse watching movies eh?

It is a 'rest' day from walking today, I have another walk tomorrow.

ONWARD...

9.30 am: sitting here feeling cold as f.  I've been outside watering pots that don't get rained on.

After that, I did a small job that had been annoying me for ages.

ABOVE:  I tidied up the 'bottom drawer' in the kitchen.

You know the one, where you fire everything into, then have to fossick around to find anything.

I found out I have 5 rolls of baking paper I didn't know I had.

And about 230 balloons.

And 6? stubbie bottle holders.  SIX!  WTF?

And bamboo skewers... I had wondered where they went!

So, a good job done.  And if it's not in the drawer, it's in a box in the bottom of the pantry, all nice and TIDY.

Lacy is due here soon.  I've just made myself a lovely hot chocolate/latte drink.  Hopefully it warms me up a bit.

I just did my first ever Facebook 'Story', thanks to Lacy showing me how.  What fun.  I can see me doing more of them.

Back from the doctors, all good there.  I'm now cooking my lunch, some chicken nibbles.

Then I will head off into the sewing room, all going well.

Well its now after dinner. Stew arrived home safely,  then he went off to the pub. So, as per usual I'm hanging out at Steve and Bex's till he's ready to go home.

Catch ya tomorrow.

You been too quiet today.
TOO QUIET.

I looked, you mentioned it all the way back in the beginning of December 2023.

Poor thing! I thought it was fixed long before Stew’s. Good luck today.

I am not sure if you have made some version of these -

    1. Cute wee fabric box. I've made similar before. They don't sell at markets.

  2. I have a drawer just like that in my kitchen. We call it the junk drawer. I straighten it out but it always ends up a mess. I hope Lacy gets her hernia fixed soon.

  3. Fossick ? What a great word! I wish I could use it as my Wordle starting word tonight! I always like using a different "word of the day". Needs to be 5 letters though....

  4. Thanks for the reminder, my "junk drawer" needs attending too, it's a mess. Hope Lacy gets her hernia sorted out soon. Wait time here to see a Dr. are much too long with no improvement in the foreseeable future. I waited a year to see a Dr.
