Something rather special is happening today.
A lady who reads my blog is visiting New Zealand from her home in Scotland, and today she is visiting us!
How awesome is that? We have corresponded via Private Messenger for quite some time, so we are not COMPLETE strangers. I think she knows far more about me than I know about her... most blog readers probably feel like they know me well I think. ππ π
So, she is due here bright and early this morning and is spending a few hours with us. The rest of her family are going to Hobbiton and will pick her up later on.
Let's see what we get up to!
ABOVE: Lily and Stew last night. Soooo cute. And sheesh I really need to take photos of her brothers too! They are just as cute, and loved to bits.ABOVE: Miss Muppet doing the watering for her Mum last night. Looks like she's enjoying herself. Gosh it was a stunning day yesterday.
ABOVE: The new plants in our back garden. So, so pretty, and it's nice having dots of colour along the edge.
And that's me for now... I better get dressed, face on etc!
LATER....
4.50 pm: here is a brief rundown of our day.
Jane and her family (husband Steven, Daughter Amy and Amy's partner Martin) arrived around 9. We had a brief chat before Steven, Amy and Martin left for Hobbiton.
Then it was inside to start yakking!
And yep, we had a blast yakking all day ! Jane and I got on so well... we are both gas bags. I was worried we might not get on, and conversation might be difficult.
BUT NO. We are very similar, and it was so nice just hanging out with her.
ABOVE: Steve and Bex kindly called in as Jane was keen to see the kids, particularly our dear little Lily.
ABOVE: Jane and Lily. Lily did her usual and cried! But then, she's very attached to Bex right now... food source and all that. lol
After a good yak, Steve, Bex and the kids went home, and we headed off to the Hamilton Gardens for a wander through the themed gardens, followed by lunch at the cafe there.
Probably at least another year or so until it's opened to traffic.
ABOVE: On our way home, we stopped in quickly to say 'Hi' to Lacy and Keera. Because Jane has been reading my blog for MANY, MANY years, it only seemed right she met these two.
It's been a thoroughly delightful day. I'm so, so happy Jane decided to take the time to visit us. Thank You Jane and family.
