ABOVE: yep, so true. 😂😅😆
I've got a clear day today. I don't have to be anywhere, do anything.
So, I'm staying in bed!
We have a bumper frost. It's freezing. My bed is nice and warm. I will just lie here and read the news. Doze a bit longer.
I will be going out later on. I want to do a bit of shopping. Just some wool for me beanie probably.
ABOVE: These two grandkids left last night with 'supper'. I'm still trying to get rid of all the sweets. 😊
10.40 am: And well... the carpet is dry. I kept the heat pump on all yesterday afternoon to help get it dry faster.
We started with frost. Then it progressed to a beautiful day. Now?
Overcast and cooling down.
I've done the washing, and am about to do some ironing. Oh friggin ya.
2 hours later... the ironing is DONE. Far out I hate ironing!
Now... a break from housework, I've been literally doing it all day!
In half an hour I will have to get moving and cook dinner. Spag Bol tonight.
9.37 pm: Dinner was so yum. For a change I didn't add bacon, and did add mushrooms.
So nice.
Time to sign off for the day.
Catch ya tomorrow.
Wow, think I'll pop in for a visit, see if I can leave with a bag of lollies too! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your lazy day. I crave those. Sigh. Even in lockdown I'm still working full time. Grateful, but with my holiday to Qld cancelled not sure if I'll even bother taking annual leave.
If I wasn't having a new carpet in a few months like you are I would probably put in a claim but is it worth it if you have excess on your insurance and you are changing it anyway. Audrey
ReplyDeleteNo not happy given how your carpet didnt loook like that before...im sure u have photos of the hall before burst cylinder
ReplyDeleteThe solid blue carpet in the room top left looks OK but the patterned hall carpet still looks stained in the foreground of the photo. And the hall carpet looks whitish/stained going towards the dog, similar to the pre-cleaning photo, just a smaller area. Do you want the hassle of waiting around for the carpet cleaners again, versus the hassle of making an insurance claim, versus just ignoring it until you replace your carpets anyway after the painters have done their work?

Chris, put in a claim. Its what you pay your premiums for. It doesn't look that great a job. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to see what the carpet looks like from a photo but when we had a claim and they couldn't match the carpet up (they usually just fix the room involved) they gave us a cash amount to put towards more carpet. If this is offered to you then that would be a win because you are planning on new carpet anyway. Otherwise get them to replace the area with the carpet you want to carpet your home with.
ReplyDeleteWhat Lynda said! Wish we could get good frosts here. I love a good frost and they usually clear to a beautiful day. Looks like Liam has already been into his "supper" - I'm sure Amanda will be ever so grateful for your treats!!
ReplyDeleteNope I would not accept that
ReplyDeleteNo... im not sure what it was like before but its in a prominent area
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's acceptable (the carpet that is). Did the insurance company make you use Chemdry? We used to always use them years ago but eventually found the quality got worse and worse and now use another company.
ReplyDeleteThe kids loved the sweet, thanks mum 😁
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know what YOU think of the carpet before I answer...
ReplyDeleteI’m a halfway bitch too 😂
