It was a shitty night.
And that's all I am gunna say about it.
Griffin got a job a few weeks ago. He's working for a company that installs fireplaces, heat pumps, sweeps chimneys and so on.
He's loving it. We are incredibly proud of him. He gets up and leaves for work at 7 in the morning, and some days he's not home till 7 pm.
So long days.
Him and his girlfriend are living at our daughter Amanda's now.
Amanda sent me this photo of Griffin last night, just after he got home from work:
ABOVE: I don't think I have EVER seen him quite so dirty! Not even as a little boy.
ABOVE: Clearly Amanda thought he looked hysterical!
It made me smile.
So did these two little darlings:
ABOVE: Bex's Grandma sent her lots of random stuff, including those two hats. The boys decided they would have them. They look very cute.
I am so, so tired! I shall be having another 'do nothing' sorta day.
I'm hoping that this cold is easing, but when I get the cough from hell, it sometimes sticks around for ages. Here's hoping it doesn't.
12.35 pm: Well. As anticipated, not a lot going on around here.
Hope you start feeling better!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better! You and Stew did a great job raising Brylee and Griffin. Who knows what they would have become without you two loving and teaching them to work hard and be responsible adults. So many adults older than them could learn a thing or two from working hard and being accountable for your actions. Yall are great parents and I know you are proud of them.
ReplyDeleteDid you know it's lucky to kiss a chimney sweep?
ReplyDeleteAs Laurie said, it is so lovely to see how these two have turned out. You and Stew should be deservedly proud of the effort you put in.
Sorry you are so sick! It is never fun, and I agree, boring as heck. Hang in there and get better soon!

I know the yogurt is appealing when you dont feel well, but be careful. If it has milk in it, it will make you cough more. Dairy products cause mucus to produce, and that makes the cough worse. But if it's non-dairy, go for it.

Hopefully by tomorrow you will be back to 💯✅
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of Griffin , well done him …
My Dad did chimney sweeping at one stage down South Island way back when and one school holidays we got to rent a wee crib in Waikouiti cos the town needed a few chimneys done ✅
Loved having school holidays near the beach,
Take care and enjoy your time once Stew gets home for the weekend
No doubt all the families will be there at the weekend for more pics n memories to share,
Cheers 🥂
Maybe put some Vicks on your chest and feet might help get well soon chick 💙
ReplyDeleteCongrats Griffin! Take a chunk of change and invest it and forget it. Do it while you are young!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soonish!
I’m just coming right now so just try to ride it out. Its a very nasty virus going around! Aa I said I have had it over a month. Good on Griffin, hope he enjoys his job. Take it easy xx
ReplyDeleteMaybe a visit to doctor to check you out. A puffer is often prescribed for coughs as you describe. Doctor could advise whether it’s viral or bacterial and if antibiotics could help. Nice quite weekend I’d imagine, no visitors so threat of passing it on is lessened. Rest and TLC 💕
ReplyDeleteChris I agree, it sounds awful and you could be dealing something with all that coughing. Rest up.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you haven't been well .. I hope you're feeling better soon 🌷
ReplyDeleteDo hope you feel better soon. Rest well and take care.
