Today I'm heading out bright and early.
Lacy and I are going to do some girly stuff in town, a mother/daughter morning.
Should be great.
Then... bloody hell, I have to do the grocery shopping.
That shouldn't take me too long thank goodness.
Then I'm gunna probably have a walk on the treadmill, then do some sewing.
But... I might not either!
Nothing is set in concrete.
Late yesterday I did this out the front of my shop:
ABOVE: I added little strips of the flag fabric. Looking at it now, I see it could do with a couple on the right hand side too, but not blocking the entrance.Stew is working on how to fix my other 'thingee' out the front safely. It will no doubt get sorted on the weekend.
Did you know that we have now been in this home for a whole year? Yep. We moved in on the 5th of December last year. That date slipped by unnoticed until I remembered last night.
It's been a very difficult year I must say. For everyone in the world really... we are not the only people who've had a dreadful year.
But I tend to think we have had a particularly bad year all things considered.
MY GOD I hope next year is 100% better!
And well... that's all I have for now.
Catch ya later on.
ONWARD...
12.20 pm: And I'm finally home after a very busy morning.
Lacy and I went into town for a while, then we mozzied on out to Chartwell Square for brunch.
OH No! Now you have to 'arrange' said food, photograph it, photograph YOURSELF with it... and then finally, you can eat it!
Just a bit funny. There was a little elderly lady across from us on her own. She engaged us in conversation a couple of times, so I ended up going and sitting with her and having a good old chin wag. She LOVED it!
Good deed of the day done. And I actually rather enjoyed myself too.
Ran into a friend there as well... and she was is hysterics when I plonked myself down with the elderly lady for a yak. lol
I used to 'eat my emotions'. NOW?
Oh shit, I think I shop them.
Because we were at Chartwell Square, I just had to pop into Taking Shape, to see if there was anything new?
And yes... they had heaps of new stuff.
And then there was a jumpsuit ... old stock, so heavily marked down.
ABOVE: I thought it looked 'OK' in the shop, but now that I've looked at it properly at home... I LOVE IT!
I've never had anything that had that sort of shoulder detail before. And can't say I've ever worn an animal print before either? Can't remember.
What do you think of it?
Well... I just spent the last couple of hours in my sewing room. Chopping up all three of my jumpsuits!
ABOVE: So, off they came! I can't think why you would put that extra freakin' bit out there? Just a dumb arse idea to me.
I'm now even happier with my jumpsuits.
I have not done the grocery shopping. I just decided it could wait. There's enough food in the house for now, so why worry? Just because it's 'shopping week' doesn't mean it has to get done right now.
Alright... it's been a quiet evening. Shit all on the TV, so I watched some You Tube instead.
And now... time for bed.
Catch ya tomorrow.
Oh please let 2021 be better!
ReplyDeletePositive thoughts will bring positive vibes π.....lol oh who am I kidding, let's all just cross all out didhets and hope for the best, and if that doesn't work..... well there is always Beer π» hehe xx ya know ya love me

Yeah it's been crap for everyone. Ourselves:
ReplyDelete1. Hubby got retrenched
2. We were told the owners of the house we're renting were selling (the day hubby got retrenched)
3. Had to find a new rental property in our area within our budget (almost impossible!)
4. Hubby hasn't worked since April
5. Turns out I made a mistake on his resume which we didn't pick up for about six months! So no one could contact him!
As you might imagine, hubby is very depressed. BUT I reminded him, it's all how you look at it.
1. Hubby hated that job anyway. It was manual work and killing him.
2. We needed to find a bigger place as the house we were in was small and pokey and no one was happy there.
3. Found an old place to rent right on the railway line (great for the kids), with 2 separate living areas, and 2 toilets (PERFECT for us!). If he was working we'd never have been able to pack up the house and move!
4. Hubby needed the rest, for his health
5. As soon as we found the mistake he got a couple of calls
He has had a little bit of casual work which paid the bills. He sold his 4WD so we've been living off those funds. But, we are at the point now where we are going to be struggling to find rent in a couple of weeks. But one of the calls he got was from a lady very keen to have him onboard for work, early in the new year. If we can hold our heads above water for just a few more weeks, we'll be okay. Fingers crossed.
Anyway, sorry for the ramble! haha. Just wanted to say I'm really hoping next year is a better year for your family. For everyone's health, for legal battles, for family, for friends. It has to be better, really. We've all had a major cleanse so it's time for soothing balm now. Love ya x
Love ya too Colleen, and I do so hope your 2021 is a hell of a lot better!
DeleteI helped pic both items, and by saying I helped, i told her to try them on and then dam well get them coz she liked them, she was not to sure ect....
ReplyDeleteSo anyone got a problem with that they can talk to me, coz I told my Ma to get them coz they looked lovely on her and made her happy, and that's all that counts π

Lurrrrve, lurrrrve, lurrrrve those jumpsuits on you. You look amazing! Thank goodness you had your girl with you to persuade you to try them on. Lacy did good! Am sure you will find some project to use up those spare bits of fabric so it's a win/win situation! And here's to 2021. A tough year here too. M from the S.I. xxx
ReplyDelete' Good job with the jumpsuit alteration - looks much better! Maybe make a scrunchie out of the leftovers ππ
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely better after your alteration. Perhaps you could snip it in a little at the waste to 'shape' it a little too? Of a black belt or something? It's rare that I ever buy anything without altering it in some way - God knows how people cope who can't sew!
ReplyDeleteWow love love the clothes I have 5 yes 5 animal print things loving it I have the sticky out pants from taking shape in animal print I get heaps of comments when I wear them.
ReplyDeleteBlondie
Looks amazing. Jo
ReplyDeleteLive the new outfits! I do wish I could sew to make alterations, I often want the hem on my dress taken up luckily my husband can sew π I just recently purchased my first jumpsuit ever, it is just a short one great for the heat here and for once it fit okay, they have always been too short in the crutch for me and no one wants camel toe π
ReplyDeleteGrocery shopping is so boring isn't it? I call it the "gross, dreary" shopping, myself.
ReplyDeleteGood call on the alteration to the jumpsuit; it's much more flattering now.
A Fan in Canada
Brilliant jumpsuits and much better with those side bits gone. You look super in them.
ReplyDeleteVonnie
So right about food photos. It annoys my other half one end when I tell STOP just when he's about to take his first bite. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteLove love love that jumpsuit. You look 10 times more than awesome.
I have GOT to come back home one day to do some shopping.
To be honest, I was not that fond of the jumpsuit, but that extra bit cut off made it look so much better. Looks good on you know. Take that girl with you more often, she did good.
ReplyDeleteGrocery shopping sucks, but it has to be done.
Stay well.
Patricia
Love the animal print jumpsuit, it looks really good on you. They are so comfortable. I wish I had a Lacy here to help me with clothes shopping. She does good.
ReplyDeleteI was just browsing some patterns and found this - almost identical to your jumpsuit - you could make one for every occasion! https://designerstitch.com/shop/eden-jumpsuit/
