There's been a bit of 'secret squirrel' type stuff going on in the background here.
But now I can spill the beans.
Steve and Bex are moving to Hamilton, and not at the end of the year as we expected.
They should be down here in about a month.
Today they are going to look at a house, with a view to renting it.
So... kinda exciting.
ABOVE: Dante in a new dress up outfit. Steve was given some outfits from a client up in Auckland who works for Kids Can. That's a Non Profit, fundraising organisation that helps children in various ways.
ABOVE: The cot quilt for Elias is coming along really well. I have to do all the quilting and binding yet. But I'm so happy with how it's looking already.
ABOVE: I'm about to stitch together a 3 meter length of bunting. I only need to knit three more triangles and I'll have enough for an additional 2 meter length as well.
After the house viewing I think we are all going to the Hamilton Gardens and lake for a wander around. Might even end up having lunch there.
ONWARD...
BEFORE I FORGET! Today's post is number 5,000. I have written Five Thousand posts since I started this blog 13.8 years ago. What a milestone. And shit, what a lot of yakking!
It's been fun. I wonder how much longer I will be doing this?
ABOVE: We are at the mall in town... having a wander and lunch.
The house viewing didnt happen because the letting agent DID NOT TURN UP!
Disgusting considering they came down from Auckland specifically to view the house.
We are not going to the Hamilton Gardens now. No one wanted to as it's a dreary day.
11 pm: And wow, totally forgot to update. It's bedtime, so I better just wrap today up.
After being in town, we all came home and had a nice afternoon together.
Steve and Bex went out for a short time to visit some friends of theirs, they are going to LOVE being down here. They have a some very nice friends here that they will now be able to catch up with more often.
Not to mention Bex's Brother and Sister In Law and their little family.
So, after dinner the kids went home, and we did our usual evening routine. TV. Knitting. Sudoku. Etc.
How exciting for you!! Good on you Steve and Bex. 5000 posts wowzer, you will keep it going we all love the daily news from Team Harvey đź’—. Fingers crossed the house viewing goes well. George's Mum.
ReplyDeleteKeep blogging. It's such a great idea to remember the things you do. I can't remember what happened a few days ago. I tried to blog about my time in " self - isolation. Just to remember how I spent my time. I made a few posts (only visible to me). They were only a few sentences each day, no photos. I didn't keep it up. I am already mad at myself. I really do want to keep it up. YOU are my inspiration!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your milestoneđź’›

ReplyDelete5000 blogs is an amazing achievement ... and I agree with the others - you are so good at blogging. I love seeing your amazing creations, and being taken on tiki tours around your part of New Zealand - and it's always lovely to see the lifestyles of others. You have inspired me on a number of occasions to tackle things around our place, or to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.
ReplyDeleteGreat news too about Steve, Bex and the boys moving to Hamilton. I love Dante's outfit today - maybe a future doctor there? :)
