SPECIAL DAY

THIRTY YEARS MARRIED TODAY... and of course, I love you just as much today as back then!
It's unbelievable how fast those 30 years have gone, how much has happened in our lives... how much our family has grown.

I'm so happy we have been together this long, and we are still so happy together.

I hope that we have many, many more happy years together... and I'm looking forward to our little trip away at the end of the week.

Just the TWO OF US, for the first time SINCE 1997, we will be spending more than two days together.  ALONE.  

About time.

We are going out for dinner tonight, with Russell and Ange.  To a local eatery, so that should be nice.

ONWARD...

So... I have done NOTHING all morning!  It's a stunning day out there, just like on our wedding day.

Stew is in Rotorua today, he got there safely.  He always lets me know once he's there. He knows how much I worry.  I really do love him to bits.

I don't know what I feel like doing today really.  There's always housework... so I've done some washing... but really all I feel like doing is a big fat nothing!  

I talked to my Mum last night, she's feeling horrible with the cold STILL!  They are off to the Dr today... so hopefully he can give her and Ron something to make them feel a bit better.


edit:  took some stuff off.... not worth the angst.

It's a happy day!  Going to have a lovely evening with Stew and Russell/Ange.  Eat lovely food and have a wine or two even.

ABOVE:  Keera, post-kindy today.  Clearly she enjoyed the paint today.
Nothing a warm flannel can't 'fix'.  

After her afternoon tea, nit check time.  
I hope like hell she's not 'caught' any more today.  She had NONE, and I mean NONE, when she left the house this morning.

9.24 pm:  Home from a lovely evening out with Russ and Ange.  Our dinners were really nice..

ABOVE:  I had duck, Russell had steak, eggs 'n' chips, Ange had steak and stuffed potato and Stew had a goat curry (not pictured).

I even had a couple of Bacardi and cokes!  Can't remember the last time I had that.

It was really enjoyable going out for dinner... something Stew and I virtually never do.
Next week we shall be doing it several times!
Woo hoo.  Looking forward to that so much... just being away together.

It's going to be so awesome.

But for now... it's another night tucked up in my electric throw, watching some tv before bed.
