♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MOST WONDERFUL AND LOVING HUSBAND A GIRL COULD EVER HAVE! I love ya Stew. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Today will be all about relaxing on the lawn, getting a sun tan and keeping cool in the paddle pool!
I'm sure Keera will love it.
Ha ha ha.. so will I!
It's not supposed to get that hot today, so should be nice.
I've been neglecting the housework a bit, so I shall have to do some darn washing today.
And that's it for now. Totally boring at the moment I'm afraid.
If I get any ink tiles framed I will show you.. but that will be much later in the day I'm sure.
What have you been doing? On holiday? Back at work? Sunshine or snow?
Full of New Years Resolutions? All the usual stuff... diet/exercise/pay of the credit card/????
Mine is to be HAPPY, no matter what is thrown at me. Rise above all the crap and let it slide off like butter. Not to let anyone make us feel like we owe them a friggin thing. Look after me, Stew and those closest to us and just BE HAPPY. It might take some practise, but I will do it.
ONWARD...
ABOVE: Today's breakfast... Vegemite and OUR tomatoes on toast. LOL!
ABOVE: VERY disappointed. Our brand new, never been used paddle pool has deflated a bit over night. I'm pissed off.
Don't think we kept the receipt either. Grrrrr.
ABOVE: Question? White or Black background?
3.30 pm: and Stew and I spent a nice couple of hours in town on our own. I bought him some new work/tidy casual trousers for his birthday. We did contemplate a piece of Britto, but decided to not get any more just now.
Lunch, just the two of us. BLISS.
Home now and I'll be going out again soon for some more materials for the tile pictures. It's never just a 1-2-3 step job is it? LOTS of steps involved, way more than I thought that's for sure.
10.15 pm: well a nice evening... Stew has had a nice relaxing day... and he's back to work tomorrow. Poor bugger.
Happy Birthday Stew, hope you have a great day! As usual, it is snowing here, but we are still going out to do a bit of shopping and to the 'gym'. That's what my husband calls the mall. We try to go as often as we can and we usually do 2 laps to get our steps in. Better than nothing, and it's way too cold to walk around the neighbourhood!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Dad, hope you have a relaxing enjoyable day with the crabby old tart *smiles and the brats and mini Muppet xxx
ReplyDeleteXoxo #2
Happy Birthday to Stew. Wow the years are going fast now!, Tomorrow would have been my Dad's birthday and I'll have been at work for 11 years.
ReplyDeleteI love your resolution Chris and will borrow it! It is too easy to get caught up in other Peoples crap and I'm not going to let friends, family or bosses bring me down this year. When we're happy the other things will just happen. Give Stew a hug from me please.
Yes I think I will be borrowing that resolution too :-)
DeleteHappy Birthday Stew. I have just got back to auckland after a week away in Rotorua so it's a boring day of washing and tidying up the "bachelor pad" before doing groceries... blah. Never mind! Have a super day.

I think the black makes the tile stand out more. And happy birthday to Stew!
ReplyDeleteWhite!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Stew!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is freezing here now in Orlando, Florida. We are having an Arctic Blast here. They had to cancel the Disney World Half Marathon because of the weather. I like the white background and plus never have heard of alcohol ink. Happy Birthday to Stew! You take such great pictures! Marianne in Orlando, Florida.
ReplyDeleteWhite background I think. You don't need a receipt if you paid by eftpos or visa etc. Just take a copy of your bank printout - that's all I do if I don't have my receipt and it's always been enough for them to find the transaction :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to Stew! I like the white background, or maybe the black, if the frame was black too? I use an app called Itemize to take photos and store all my receipts as soon as I buy anything. It's handy, especially as so many receipts tend to fade nowadays.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Stew love Richard Lucinda Mikayla and Sophie xx
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Stew. I prefer the white background. Makes the tile stand out more.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Stew.
ReplyDeleteWhite Chris…the tiles stand out more.
Hippy birthday Stew.
ReplyDeleteWat a bugger about the pool I'd have been very pissed off too
I prefer the black border
Happy birthday, Stew. Here's to a great year ahead for all of you.
ReplyDeleteWhite background for me. Makes the colours stand out.
Black makes it stand out more.
ReplyDeleteonce you go black.....lol
ReplyDeleteBlack :)
Definitely white for me. Makes the colours brighter and more zing!
ReplyDeleteWhite - colours are more vibrant
ReplyDeleteI like the Black with a black frame and I also like the white... some of each? That is rather disappointing of the pool visa receipt bank statement....take that with day and time and they can narrow it down more perhaps it is sunny but breezt just nice here. It's me Blondie.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Stew! My baby turned 13 yesterday!!
ReplyDeleteI'd be taking the pool back for sure!
I love your outlook for 2017, I hope to do the same, I'm pretty sure I can do it!
I love the tiles and I think both look gorgeous!
Have a great day, we are in for another hot 30+ in Melbourne but at least we have a breeze today 😊
Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to wish Stew a very happy birthday. I know you don't know me outside of the blog, but he strikes me as such a kind, generous husband, father and grandfather. You are a wonderful couple and family. Happy New Year to you all. Love Karen xo
PS: white frames
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday stewy ☺ i think try them with ur diffrent tiles as some will look better on the white than the black. And the black ones need to be fully black.even silver would look cool just putting it out there.Just my opinion of course. 😊😊😊💜💚💜

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Stew!
ReplyDeleteWhite background.
White background and a very Happy Birthday to Stew
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Stew I forgot to say ... Blondie
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Stew! From both of us in Tassie!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Stew ( just got in with an hour to spare). My preference is the white, but could imagine they would both be popular with people, depending what they are matching it up against, so I would say do some white, some black and I liked the silver option too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Stew! Good to hear that you've had a relaxing day for your birthday.
ReplyDeleteRe the frames - I think they both look good - it would depend on each tile, and also where they are to be located - the surroundings etc (so what Bex said basically).
I look forward to hearing the price of your trivets etc once you've tested them out. Maybe you could set up a separate Facebook page for your crafts for sale and market some through there - would be handy when some of your readers are looking for gifts etc - and you may pick up some new potential customers through Facebook. My friend has done this with her Soy Candles - she has the name of her wee business, and lists each item for sale with price and we just write "SOLD" on the ones we want, then go from there.
I will give the Facebook thing some thought... thanks.
DeleteHappy Belated birthday to Stew!
