Up nice and early this morning... feed the dogs, the kids, then it's out of here... to Tauranga.
Not what we had originally planned of course, but it's going to be lovely to spend some unhurried time with Jacqui and Marty in their new home in Tauranga.
AND I will be able to check out any local fabric shops in Tauranga... if I can find them!
I shall have to 'Google' them... and also check my fabric shop 'map' down in me sewing room too.
So, as we shall be away for two days, I shan't be on the blog much. I will try to update from Jacqui's if she's got her computer up and running, if not... It will have to be short snippets from me phone!
CATCH YA LATER!
*** HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER LORI. I hope you have a lovely day.***
ONWARD...
MARK: our meeting with Vic went very well. She's a lovely young woman and we got on great. I completely forgot to take photos! So unlike me. Maybe next time we meet I will remember.
Preparations to depart for Tauranga are in full swing... should be leaving in the next half an hour or so. Amazing how much stuff you have to take for just one night!
Well.. we stopped at Waihi. At a fabric shop. I got a wee bit of fabric.
Pretty.
We just arrived in Tauranga and are going to have lunch at the Mount. It's an overcast day here.
Well...lunch at Bayfair mall instead of the Mount. Way too expensive at the Mount!
Just been to The Quilt Shop at Papamoa. Saw a gorgeous fish wall hanging. Took a photo ... and got told off by the owner of the shop! WHOOPS, didnt know I couldnt take a photo.
Seems one might STEAL her design? Live n learn... some people are paranoid and sceptical of other's motives. I won't show you the gorgeous photo now. Boo hoo.
What's the fastest way to get crabby with each other?
Try finding the right way to go in friggin Tauranga. Seriously, the street signs and motorway directions are bloody useless. That and trying to read google maps on a tiny phone screen.
I NEED WINE. NOW. Stuff dinner!
How cool is this fabric? Love it.
Now at our friend home relaxing.
End of Day: a really neat day.... snd evening with our friends.
Nite nite
