I said I would show you MY Treasure from yesterday eh? Well here it is:
ABOVE: it's a Dutch tea pot! And I really love it... it's FUNKY! And I might even USE it... Not that anyone except Stew drinks tea in this house. I'm sure it's not everyones 'cup of tea' (snigger) but I LIKE IT. If you don't, you don't need to let me know OK?
TODAY: taking Griffin to his Speld lesson, then after I drop him back to school I'm going to visit my aunty up the road, she's got some lace for me. She visited yesterday and fell in love with the cream top with the pretty lace that I got from the Hospice shop... so wants to give me some lace in return. Ain't that nice.
While I'm out I am leaving a little list of things for Steve to do for me... gotta love having a 'live in helper'... lol. He's earning his keep if nothing else!
My neighbour Steph bought a bag in Tailand recently but found it so hard to find anything in it...so she took it apart and asked me to turn it into a CUTE bag...
So that's my current project:
ABOVE: the old bag slowly getting turned into a CUTE bag... it has pockets on the outside already... I have quilted it this morning and will continue working on it after I get home this afternoon....
ONWARD...
Home again...been another swealtering day here... it should be getting cooler by now.. but it ain't.
Haven't done much since coming home... totally lazy day!
I did a bit more work on the 'thingee' picture this afternoon too... it needed a little something else to finish it off... will show ya when it is finished.
Making mince and tomatoe pie for dinner... YUM....
FROGGY: the tea pot is pewter, so I never have to polish it! And it's a good size.. will hold about 6 cups of tea I reckon.
End of Day: feeling incredibly crabby... just can't bear this heat and humidity anymore! OVER. IT.
DIET: so-so
nite nite.
Now that is cute
ReplyDeleteNow that I like too it is superb gee what a treasure trove that hospice store hides!!! lucky you.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I love stuff like that and my family (kids too) are avid tea lovers.
ReplyDeletelove the tea pot it is adorable! send steve to me when you have all the things for him to do caught up :) we could use a strong smart young man to help out LOL...
ReplyDeleteI love it! it reminds me of a little man doing "I'm a little Teapot" with his hand on his hip.. cute! you could always use it for tea, or hot chocolate... or keep refilling it with ice and lemon and water and get in your 2 litres a day! Good buy!
ReplyDeleteI love the dutch tea pot!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.
What a brilliant find! Good idea from Ally to fill with iced drinks.
ReplyDeleteHope the bag transformation turns out OK - knowing you it will!!
Lots of us could use a Steve. I hope he got through the list you left.
ReplyDeleteThe teapot is very cute and sort of unusual.
LOVED THE DAINTY LITTLE TEA POT!! and I can't wait to see what you do to the material for a "new" purse....debbie
ReplyDeleteThat is one VERY cool treasure. I agree, what the hell is with people who think they need to tell others that they 'don't like their taste, or things, or whatever'. Personally I think its rude. (and the thing that I've noticed is the people who tend to do it are the VERY ones who pack a taddy if someone does it to them. (funny they seem to be able give it but not take it).
ReplyDeleteKeep a look out next time it happens, I'm sure you will find is true. lol
Cool tea pot! Can't wait to see what you do with the bag :)
ReplyDeletewell i love the teapot! and what a handy friend you are to have a around! xxx
