ABOVE: my car... all packed up and ready to go.... it's so much easier going to market with cards and bags compared to pottery! No heavy boxes or masses of wrapping paper, no breakables! It's awesome.
RIGHT... everyone wish me luck... and keep ya fingers crossed I sell SOMETHING today! I will be gutted if it's a flop.
Stew and the kids will be coming out to see/relieve me for a while around midday... one must have a piddle break eh? lol
And if you are around... POKENO is not far from Auckland or Hamilton... *hint* *hint* to no one in particular...
WELL.... all that work... and getting up early, and sitting in the blistering sun.... for sweet bugger all! It was incredibly quiet at the market... I was assured everyone was having a dismal day, so didn't feel too bad. But still... it was disheartening to say the least. I'm not sure if I will put myself through that again.
ABOVE: the lovely Kate from Auckland came a visited me, which was really nice of her.
ABOVE: the girl next to me was selling wooden things.. Brylee and Griffin made themselves 'useful' and kept her company... and even sold some of her stuff while she was off getting her lunch! She gave them a 'commission' each so they could go and buy a wee something. How sweet of her!
End of Day: I've had an incredibly quiet, lazy afternoon and evening. nite nite.
Good luck Chris. I hope it goes really well for you :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck and have fun and I bet you will enjoy it and yak and make new friends even and PROBABLY buy some stuff too.
ReplyDeleteHope it went well and you sold LOADS!!
ReplyDeleteIf I were there, I would totally buy one.
ReplyDeleteI want to go to someplace there, down under....
Maybe in a year or two.....
Have fun today!
Have an awesome day, Chris. I hope you sell the entire lot! :o)
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Cyndi
Good luck today! Can't wait to hear how you dit!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed you have a huge day Chris. You sure deserve it after all the work you have done.
ReplyDeleteI am rooting for you too! Plus I posted on my blog about sending you some of this snow we had today! :)That way you would not have been SO hot today! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you struck a slack day. Maybe December is too late for these markets as everyone is crazy shopping in the big city stores.
ReplyDeleteHave a good rest then put them up for sale on the internet. Or bring them over to Whitianga, or even Thames, in January when everyone is going crazy at the markets.
[[[[[[hugs]]]]]]
have a good night and sleep.
Hey Chris, sorry you didn't sell loads. It's just one of those days. Hope you had fun though.
ReplyDeleteI wish it had gone better, but if it was slow for everyone you can't feel too bad.
ReplyDeleteSorry you didn't do better. Perhaps folks will wished they had bought something and come back next time! ...debbie
ReplyDeleteJust came back to check on how you did...so sorry it was a disappointment! That's pretty much how my craft fair went, too! I definitely won't be doing another one! Too much work for nada!
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Cyndi
Well that sucks! Did you sell anything at all?
ReplyDeleteHave you tried your bags on trade me Chris. I'm sad the market wasn't well attended. I went to one at Eastbourne ( a bit far away) and it was buzzing. Spent.. **8 a little..
ReplyDeletetoo much!!!
