This is how it goes:
We go to the Bride's place and help her get ready.
The wedding is at 3pm till late.
It's at the beach. On the beach even.
I don't know if I can get to a computer to update today or not.
If NOT.. .then you will have to wait until sunday night when I get home.
Tough tits. Humble apologies. And all that.
I will be back to normal transmissions by Monday... I promise.
10 am: A few dramas:
The Bride's dress got lost in transit... so a replacement dress arrrived yesterday. It's OK.. but not what she ordered. It's being hemmed as we speak.
The Flower girl's dress got stuck in the sewing machine, but is fixed now.
The Bride forgot to get shoes for the Flower Girls and Page Boys.. so they are being bought this morning.
The lady making the wedding cake had a stroke 2 days ago.. so someone else quickly made some cakes, but I don't think they are iced yet.
The wedding is in 5 hours. I am ready. Don't think anyone else is! LOL
ONWARD... ya just gotta love wedding dramas!!!
I hope you have fun at the wedding. Enjoy your weekend and I look forward to hearing all about it on Monday. ;)

ReplyDeleteWill certainly be a memorable day for all involved with that many dramas that early in the day! I hope the day gets better and the happy couple have a magical day :)
ReplyDeleteReminds me that the difference between an Irish wedding and an Irish funeral is one less drunk!!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!
I'll be waiting anxiously for more updates!
ReplyDeleteIf you are travelling back MY WAY I am back in the land of the living JUST and would love to meet you and Stew and the Kids and have a cuppa( or diet coke OR adult beverage)......WOULD you believe I used to run around CORNWALL PARK when I lived in AUKS!!! ReplyDeleteWe had to go to Mum's this morning with something for our daughter. TWJ wanted to come home to watch the Louis Vuitton yacht racing. Looks gorgeous on the Waitemata.
ReplyDeleteI had intended spying on you but now I can't. It's a lovely day just hope it's not too windy for the bride.
Your pics will be worth waiting for.
OMG! It's not a very well- organised wedding if things are still being bought and sewed!
ReplyDeleteYou sound coooool as a cucumber. You're good. Post later... :)
ReplyDeleteWhat wedding drama! I am sure everything worked out well, right?
ReplyDeleteThere are always last minute "glitches" at weddings...and it is how you deal with them that matters. Sounds like things are going just fine!!!
