It's Patchwork Class today, where I will continue to work on a few ducks. At some point I intend making a Baby's Cot Quilt too... for my next grandbaby, whenever he/she GETS MADE!!! No pressure of course!
Stew is off to Wellington today too... he will be away until tomorrow night.... lucky bugger.
It is now THREE FULL DAYS that I have been doing 'low carbs' and to tell the truth it has not been hard at all! I have been eating salads and meat (chicken) for lunch and Stir-fry veges and meat for dinner. It's working for me! I don't snack. I don't do breakfast. I don't do water. I have been having a little fruit when I feel I really want a sweet something.
I have cut out all:
- bread. rice. pasta. potatoes. cakes. biscuits. crackers. pastries.
The only carbs I am eating are the ones that are contained naturally in fruit and veges. I have not had a huge sugar drop... or felt ill. Weird!
Feeling much better. Like I maybe CAN turn things around. Dare I say MOTIVATED?
*~*~*~*~* HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY LACY *~*~*~*~* I hope you have a wonderful day.
ONWARD....
Class: was great. I didn't do much! Just enjoyed being around the ladies, chattering and just 'being there'. *smiles*
Came home, had my chicken salad lunch... some dehydrated banana chips.. then had a long natter with my niece Christina who is over in Melbourne, Australia. That was lovely. I am bloody glad she isn't here... she would be around here every day nagging at me to get on the Cross Trainer! I have PROMISED to get on the bloody thing for 10 minutes every day. *sigh*
The kids just got home, so it's time to full finger and sort them out... they are going to jump in the pool in a moment... which means I am on Life Guard Duty! lol
CHRIS in AUSTRALIA: just wait ya TART!!! I just finished getting the kids to bed, and vacuming the house... friggin cross-trainer is NEXT. Pffffffffft.
End of Day: Cross Trainer DONE... it just about killed me too! It's soooo hot down in my garage! I am now off to have a cold shower and head off to bed. nite nite.
A pat on the back to you for sticking to your plan of cutting the carbs and great that you are feeling okay doing it.
ReplyDeleteHey babe! Glad to hear things are looking up. Sorry I've been so AWOL, I've missed you and blogging! School has been shit crazy!! I am loving the ducks, well done you x
ReplyDeleteGreat news on the low carb Chris. Do look at other options for foods to eat for when you start to get bored. The shake I have for breakfast is great for me because it also covers all the vitamans etc that I am missing out on. You will notice your weight drop and that should motivate you more.
ReplyDeleteDo look at snacking options though because it would be so good for you to keep this up!! Also don't think you only have to have stir frys and salads. We have roasts and all sorts just without the carbs.
I actually Laughed out loud when I read "I have 'Ducks Disease'...me arse is too close to the ground!!!"
ReplyDeleteWhat ever works ah? Glad your feeling on top of things xxx
I am also finding I am not hungry doing the low carbs - although the scales are not being as nice as I thought they might be this week....so don't get down if they take a while to shift...I am noticing clothing is looser though.
ReplyDeleteWell Done Mum... So very proud of you xxxx
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you got a new microwave ! Yea for you. They sure do come in handy.I have read that they are not good for your health - said they destroy the vitamins in your food. There was one country that even banned them because of it. But We only use ours for heating up coffee and making tea and one time I used it to make some of the BEST jelly I had ever made - BECAUSE I did not scorch it! LOL
ReplyDeleteOOO and people with "Ducks Disease" have to be extra careful ! LOL - sorry , my meaness of showing. ! After killing my project today I needed someone to take it out on. So the pretty lady with the pretty machine looked good to me. LOL
We all are individuals and need to do what suits us
ReplyDeleteWell done Chris. You do sound alot brighter
Trish
Chris
ReplyDeleteGood for you re the carbs, I think those cravings do reduce when we reduce our carbs, I agree with what Trish says that you do sound brighter.
I looked up Wiki and there is no such disease called "Ducks disease"...wait a minute! Ducks..ass...you killing me Chris!!
ReplyDeleteno, low carb isn't that bad at all. Good luck with it - its a bit difficult for me , but it works:))
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your new microwave
Well done Chris and I'm not trying to make this harder but banana chips are about the worst thing you can have on low carb!! They are high carb and high calorie so no more than a couple!!
ReplyDeleteThe diet sounds great! I couldn't do it. I LOOOOVE carbs!
ReplyDeleteWHERES THAT 10 MINUTES?
ReplyDeleteGood on you for going on the cross trainer. If I can force myself on the DREAD-mill, you can do it to!!!
