How cute can they get? These ducks are what I got finished yesterday... they are going to my SIL's gallery today. Her shop is not doing that well at all... just not getting enough passing traffic. If she closes up , I shall just put them on here for sale!Today we are going out to Bethell's Beach, where my SIL lives. Three reasons for going.... 1) To visit her, 2) to drop of the ducks and 3) to visit the beach, and hopefully get some seaweed for the compost bin! I am really looking forward to getting some lovely fresh, wholesome compost in the future from our bin.
Shit, I forgot! It's VALENTINES DAY... oh well, just as well Stew and I never 'celebrate' it then..... it's been over commercialised and really doesn't mean anything now. I don't need a 'special' day to tell Stew how much I love him! HE JUST KNOWS.. I MEAN, HELL.... I SLEEP WITH HIM DON'T I? That's says it all. ha ha ha.

YAAAaaa, Stew is cooking dinner tonight too! I can put me feet up and be waited on. BLISS. He's making chicken burgers. NICE.
End of Day: the burgers were lovely! far too many carbs... AGAIN. Watching the telly, feet up, sipping Totara Cafe. yum. nite nite.
Those ducks are the cutest thats sad news to hear about the shop, the silver lining MAY BE BAGS FOR SALE? as well as duckies perhaps? I certainly would be up for a bag and a duck or 2.... For valentines day I got some $ to put towards my new sneakers $30 in fact so thats cool because card choocies flowers are NOT ME!

ReplyDeleteTWJ brought me a single pink hibiscus flower, glistening with drops of water. So pretty and right off the small bush by the deck. That's it for us unless I get enthusiastic and bake something special. How about pavlova dripping with whipped cream and strawberry sauce, all homemade. We ate a whole large cherry pie between so I think we can manage a pav if we don't eat anything else that's healthy today.

We don't go over the top with Valentine's Day either, but I did use "almost" Valentine's day as an excuse to buy oysters fish and a nice bottle of champagne for dinner last night . . . Now I have a teeny little champagne headache and don't feel very romantic at all . . . .
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the Valentine's Day stuff Chris...it's so commercialized...and expensive! It's crazy what a dozen roses go for here, and yet people buy them like crazy! No thanks...
ReplyDeleteHubby and I don't have anything special planned for tomorrow...and that's just fine. Sometimes just spending some quiet time together is all the gift I need. (Ok, and maybe some chocolate...yup, chocolate is always good.)
