Today Stew starts his two weeks holidays... how neat! Here's hoping the weather is kind and we get to go out on the kayak a few times.
We don't have any plans to go away as interspersed throughout the coming two weeks we have several appointments we can't miss.... Griffin's assessment with the Educational Psychologist, Brylee's orthodontist, and x-rays on my knees which I have been waiting 5 months for! So... just hanging out around home and environs....
But that's cool...... ONWARD....
Stew... slept in until nearly 11 am! Wow that man was tired. I've been on the phone organising picking up our Grandson from Whitianga next weekend.. and we are going to bring along one of his brothers too... who isn't our Grandchild.. but who cares? Not me! So that will be a busy week next week! Luckily Stew is going to be home to help with them.
We just had a long power outage... so I took the time to brush out all Teddy's knots, and now I am going to bath him... and hopefully clip some of the length off his coat myself....
WHOOPS! I am so not too good at cutting the dog's hair.. he's a bit munted. Too bad. Oh and I have been drinking Diet Coke and Bacardi.. havn't had any for MONTHS.. I'm like... really pissed! Only took two glasses full. Ha ha... it's a wonder I can still type! ha ha... think I am going to regret this later....
End of Day: I have sobered up since dinner... and yikes! Teddy looks rather bad! Could we say.... shabby chic? lol. nite nite.
Sounds relaxing and (mostly) fun!
ReplyDeleteA little "staycation" sounds like a fun thing. I bet you will be very busy.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun- errands and all!
ReplyDeleteThe kids should enjoy having someone else to play with.

I agree: a "staycation" can be a good thing! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're always so busy! :)
Hope you and Stew have a great time. My husband just had 2 weeks off and we stayed home except for a couple of nights. I don't think he's ever had this much time off when we haven't been going somewhere and we all really enjoyed just hanging out. I'm sure you'll will be glad to have the extra help with more little people in the house!
ReplyDeleteOh lord, I cut my poor dogs hair once... my grandpa thought he had mange!
