Amanda and Andrew will be bringing them home first thing in the morning, as they have to catch a plane to Nelson late morning.
So today I will do some more sewing ... and there is a possibility of meeting a couple of bloggers girls later too. That would be nice. ONWARD....
I am off to have lunch with Stew (please let it be healthy!)... then after that I am probably going to Manukau to meet up with Marie and Hayley from North Auckland.... which I am really looking forward to.. I've read their blogs for ages and they sound like nice mini tarts! They are 17... hell I am going to 'hang out' with teenagers! WHAT NEXT??? lol
I have realised that you really should be careful what you wish for! I am missing my kids like mad! I HATE being on my own. I just told Stew he is NOT allowed to die ... I could not bear being alone!
Yaaa.... I finally met the TWINS... Hayley and Marie... and their Mum Karen! What an AWESOME afternoon we had! Those girls can SHOP like ME! They were on a mission to find clothes to wear to their brother's wedding... and to wear everyday, AND to wear to a school camp next week.. so it was a MISSION!
ABOVE: (L to R) Marie, ME and Hayley... AFTER the shopping expedition... ready to go home and recuperate!
Trying on this, that and the other... some got 'YES!'... and of course some got "HELL NO!" lol ( All these outfits were bought at CITY CHIC in Manukau Mall) An AWESOME SHOP!
THIS WAS A YES!
AND SO WAS THIS!
ABOVE: Poor Karen with the haul from Farmers.. all clothes for their school camp next week! I am SURE she is going home much poorer than she started the day!
Now, while I wasn't shopping for myself, it was a really lovely afternoon. It was awesome meeting the girls and their Mum... and we must get together again SOON!
Now... it's time to have a quick bite to eat and then Stew and I are off to the movies again ... seeing 'Avatar' this time.
End of... an awesome day! We went to the movies.. and I will give you a review tomorrow, cos it's bloody late and I'm off to bed! nite nite.
It must be very strange being kidless after spending so much of your time raising children (eight of them--that amazes me!) I'm glad that you've had a little me time, and glad that you're going to be looking forward to getting the little ones back!
ReplyDeleteI always think that I would like some time to be alone, but like you, when it actually happens I realise how much I like being with my family, even though they drive me mad!
YAY!!!! I love blogger meet-ups! Can't wait to hear all about it! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had the time to yourself and that the kids are now coming home. It was probably a good break for everyone. And, oh yes, do keep Stew among the living.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about my kids. When they are here, they drive me crazy. But when they spend the night at the in-laws, I miss them.
