- off to the Mall to buy a present for Griffin to take to his mate's Birthday Party this afternoon.
- Attend the Housewarming Party of a workmate of Stew's.
That's about it for now....
I took these photos the other evening and just loved them:
Stew and Griffin were having a deep and meaningful conversation and Teddy just had to join in... it was so cute seeing my 'boys' on the couch together.
Dammit... if you are reading this on Thursday or Friday... blame blogger ... I am trying to 'forward' post it... but it's not working!
Right, now it's sorted... cos it's Saturday! lol
I found it very interesting that NO ONE suggested I go on Hormone Replacement Therapy yesterday! Why is that???
It's cold here this morning, there is condensation on the windows, and the bloody kids woke up at 6.30 and I had to get up. Dammit.
I was talking to my girlfriend Chris D last night... and there is the possibility that we may go to England together next year! She wants to take her husband's ashes back to Hartlepool around July.... so I am thinking of going with her! I'm excited at the prospect.
And it gives me added incentive to lose some weight! Think of the SHOPPING I can do over there! OOOOOO
Dropped Griffin off at his party and then Stew, Brylee and I went to the Housewarming... and we were SUPPOSED to leave there at 3.30 and pick Griffin up and go home.. BUT... I was having such a good time at the housewarming that I sent Stew to pick up Griffin and come back to the party!
So instead of coming home at 3.30... we got home at 9pm.. and I am happily tiddly... THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
It was an awesome party... I havn't had so much fun in ages... I think we were some of the first to arrive at the party and some of the last to leave! It was supposed to be an afternoon party, but we managed to stretch it out to after dinner.. which was pizzas... LOTS of them!
I see how alcohol makes you forget you are on a diet... I do believe I have 'grazed' all afternoon/evening! Oh well. tis another day tomorrow. time to diet then.
End of day: it's been a bloody neat day.. helped along with copious amounts of Bacardi and Diet Coke... nice one. nite nite.
Oh and yeah, I have photos, will post them tomorrow, when it's easier to make me fingers work!
Teddy looks like he is totally in on the conversation lol.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics.... gees and I thought you got up at 6.15am each morning to do your posts like me :-)
ReplyDeleteChris, Can't suggest HRT...too many studies show an increased chance of breast C. Maybe they will pass, or as others have suggested, something natural would work. Good thing winter is coming there!
ReplyDeletelove the photos a real warm fuzzy moment for u.
ReplyDeleteFelicity
Chris did your mum like the chicken quilt? was it for her birthday? Im too young for hot flushes well this week anyhoo I turn another year older next week a WHOLE 41 years young!
ReplyDeleteOMG... how amazing if you get to go to London!
ReplyDeleteAnd those pictures, so sweet. Bonding is good... xxx
love the pics... and hey how about trying HRT? i totally missed yesterdays post lol
ReplyDeleteHell no, stay away from HRT! There is a place in Auckland called the Menopause Institute that specialises in helping us menopausal women. Give your doctor a go first though - I'm sure there is lots they can do now.
ReplyDeleteI love those pictures too!
ReplyDeleteThere are some risks associated with hormone therapy and that is probably why no one suggested it. I'm not there yet but I have friends that are and some that aren't. It's a mixed bag of results on both sides. I don't know. I will tell you something funny though. One of my friends says that she always found the hot flashes (they are called flashes in the states) thrilling. I crack up every time I think of it.
Exciting to have plans for the trip to England - hope it happens for you!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww ... those photos are sooo precious :-)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to take HRT, as others have said ... there are risks to it.
I would be having a chat with your GP about the pros and cons of HRT. The risk of adverse reactions/events need to be weighed against the severity of the symptoms. I was reluctant to mention HRT as I didn't want to ignite the whole breast cancer debate.
ReplyDeleteAs for so called 'natural' alternatives if we are talking about cold water, less clothes etc, fine. But if we are talking about herbal supplements then I would be as wary of them as of something the doctor prescribes ... if not more so. I have worked in oncology (where you see a huge amount of alternative stuff, understandably) and the side effects and interactions of herbal/natural remedies can be as serious as those of prescription drugs.
And on that note I shall go and sew!!
awwww...never mind the HUMANS...look at gorgeous little Teddy:)
ReplyDeleteI am on HRT....but I had a hysterectomy and ovaries out when I was only 31....so had to go on them. I have no problems...but different situation to you.
How the hell will you afford the extra baggage allowance with all the shopping you would do in England?!!
Wow Chris, that would be something to work towards. The ultimate goal, a trip to England. Sounds very exciting.
ReplyDeleteI love the pics of your 'boys'
Gorgeous photos of your boys Chris. Was Griffin giving Stew some advice haha?? I wouldn't go on HRT until you have tried natural stuff Chris. Too many risks still. Do some research and find out what could suit you best. Otherwise toughen up .. if I have to go cold turkey so should you haha!
ReplyDeleteGive me a shout if you do come over! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear you had an awesome party!!!
ReplyDeleteI have some tips for you on my blog for the next one:)
Those photos of your boys are adorable. That must have been some conversation they were having!
ReplyDeleteNO HRT suggestions cause they are dangerous. My Mum went on a natural herbal HRT remedy and it gave her a stroke. Apparently very common.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had fun at the housewarming.
