IN CONTROL... AND LOVING IT!

TODAY:

I have to go to Sylvia Park to pick up toys on layby.... without the kids in tow of course.
And we need groceries.... lots of HEALTHY shit for Stew and I to eat... we are both hellbent and determined to get some weight off and keep it off.

Stew's doctor told him yesterday that the only way to lose weight was to EAT LESS.... not exercise like crazy.... cos at some stage you are not going to be able to exercise like a fiend and then what happens? Ya gain weight.... DERRRRR.... that is exactly what happened when I stopped exercising like a fiend!

So we are going to (as a team) do what we KNOW works.... eat well. Eat less. Not eat crap. Do exercise that is SUSTAINABLE in the long term.
With that in mind I am committing myself to going swimming twice a week for now.... that is all. Well, except for walking to and from school twice a day, and doing the housework. Small steps.

I am in control.....

2.30 pm and so far so good! I have done all the shopping, put it away even... and now I'm off to get the kids from school.

Stayed on track with da food all day! Was starving while doing the grocery shopping but DID NOT cave in and buy a single evil thing! *sigh*... 'tis hard being GOOD. But worth it. I am going to drop 7 kilos by the time my daughter gets married, YOU BLOODY WATCH ME!

End of Day: couldn't 'sign off' as normal cos the net was down. nite nite!

  4. you are in control! good for you! i wish i was! acutally we eat pretty healthy, and my husband exercises alot. i am more of a 3 time a week-er.

  7. Good for you!!! Eating less is what most of us Americans need to do. I'm not sure about in your neck of the woods, but here portion sizes are HUGE. and we are all from the old school...Clean your plate.

  11. Ok, everything and everybody'd better get out of the way when you have an attitude like that. It's full speed ahead for you and NOTHING IS GETTING IN YOUR WAY! Yay!

    BTW, exercise twice a week AND picking up kids from school daily is a lot of exercise. :]

  12. Great to hear! Now hopefully I will be more motivated to stay on track to. I would love to lose a couple or three kilos. I'm glad the kick up the arse worked... I'll be around to kick again if you need it :)

  13. It's great to hear you so positive about things.

    Sounds like you are doing really well with your eating and the exercise is managable. All I am doing is walking 4 days a week to get the kids from school and it's working for me.

    And it's great that Stew is doing this with you.

    you sure can do this. You know what you have to do to lose and once you have started and start seeing some loss'es it is just the BEST feeling ever to keep you motivated to keep going.

  19. Leslie & I are doing the same thing. We haven't had ANY fast food in about 2 weeks and we walk about 3-4 miles a day.

    Ok, She walks 3-4 every day. I walk it with her when I am home.

    But I can already feel a difference.
