Next order of the day :
Post Rena's baby blankets back to Hamilton, Kelly forgot them....
Get our pram wheels fixed, they keep going flat....
Get the weedeater fixed....
Make appointment to get legs waxed, they are driving me nuts....
Do some housework....
Buy some Diet Coke, almost out....This should be at the top of the list!
that will do for now!
I watch too much tv obviously: I hate INFOMERCIALS but I saw the one for The TOBI and thought "shit that's a good idea for Stew"... so ordered one!
Stew is going to love this, no more fiddly ironing of his business shirts! And I might even give it a whirl... apparently it's great for freshening up the upholstery, killing bed bugs (eeewww).. and steaming curtains instead of having to iron them, bla bla bla. AWESOME .... must go and try it RIGHT NOW.
Lynda suggested I try an Epilator... so I went and bought one... it was on SALE .. down from $149 t0 $105... SCORE!
It is very pretty, has pink on it, and a light! And it SPARKLES in the light... I'm a real girl obviously. And seriously weird, cos I love the pain... it is SO not bad! gunna go do some more!
End of Day: had fun, got lots sorted... some news coming tomorrow! NSV: On track, but probably had too much still. nite nite.
I've never gotten my legs waxed. I spent $70 on a torture device called an "Epilady" eons ago and only used it once and only on one leg. It had this metal coil that ripped the hair right out of your leg. It made me cry. I tried to give myself a bikini wax once... I couldn't yank it off and it got all cold and hard. My husband had to do it for me when he got home. He still laughs about it. There was a lot of screaming involved. I'm a good old fashioned razor only girl now.
ReplyDeleteAhhh nothing like finding something left behind after visitors leave... my sister used to always leave something behind!!! The worst one was her toddler sons favorite bedtime toy... elmo... that was horrific... express post for that one!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to get my legs waxed! I also need more Diet Coke and bottled frappaccino's...thank god for costco!
ReplyDeleteI have to ask - have you used an epilator on your legs? The first time hurts because there are so many hairs but they are the BEST things ever. Like waxing they rip the hairs out but you only need to do it every now and then and only hurts the first time.
ReplyDeleteAh, just read the post from Coffee Bean... epilators only hurt the first time!!! and its not that bad. I LOVE MINE and so do all my friends.
ReplyDeleteThe kids seem to have been really good up until now about Stew leaving.
ReplyDeleteJust thought I would tell you, my sisters friends had their house on the market for ages, no-one even looking. Then out of the blue they had an offer only $5000.00 less than they were aiming for. Over the moon! It will happen Chris - just takes the right person. Bet you are sick of hearing that!
It kills bed bugs! I MUST have one.
ReplyDeleteTobi thingy looks cool. Let us know how it works. get that Diet coke before somebody gets hurt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for update
I have a fancy steamer and I don't use it nearly as often as I should!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I will start now! OR NOT! :)
I LOVED your joke, and I love this blog.
ReplyDeleteDon't change a thing about you!
ohhh, can't wait to hear how the tobi went. There was actually a write up in the newspaper about them a couple of weeks ago and someone was raving about how good they were but I was wondering if it were one of those items that people sing their praises about but arn't really what they are cracked up to be.
ReplyDeleteWill check back later in the week looking for a report. I have a whole week off work and am off on a road trip. (yipeee) will post update with pic's when I return at the weekend.
Have a great week.
The steamer looks a good one, I must admit I'm a big fan of steam cleaning.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky I don't have to bother about getting legs waxed etc.
Ohhh something easier than ironing, i'm all ears. Ironing is a bad word in this house LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Mum,
ReplyDeleteYes well that is sad to here that dad is going again but it wont b long till he back.
What a bugger about the tattoo.
i love waxing pain too! we can be strange together! How is it on the bikini region?
ReplyDeleteYay, I'm glad you like the epilady!! You have the same one as me. Once you get less hair on your legs, just take off the little roller things and use it straight on the legs. I LOVE IT!! Beware of using in on your other parts though, it's not so kind there.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of the Tobi but it seems like a good idea for someone who has to ware dress shirts everyday. My legs are ok for now. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little device, so it works then? I should get one, get sick of shaving!!!
ReplyDeleteOh and I can sooo hear I told ya so!!! I hate my hair and will for..ever!!!!
ya tart!!!!;) love ya though!!!hehe
Oh I love epilating my legs too, I get off on the hairs being ripped out of legs- it feels good.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good epilator too, I think I might need to upgrade.
I can't wait to hear the news tomorrow! :-)
that tobi thing looks really cool, let us know how well it works...
ReplyDeleteOh My Lord! I thought the epilady had been done away with. I can't believe some of y'all like that pain! I must be the biggest weenie because I can't take it.
ReplyDeletemy to do list sounds a lot like yours, except for that leg-waxing thing... ouch!
ReplyDeleteI used to watch infomercials. Then I got a job and got cable TV. I guess the infomercials were the key.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had one busy weekend. That steamer looks interesting. As per the epilator, DD has one a loves it. Never had the courage to give it a go. Glad to see you endured the pain. What a cute photo of Griffin and Stew. Your one busy bee, take care.
ReplyDeleteHmm, it took me 36t years before I got a professional pedicure, I think I'll wit forever before getting a wax job, lol. I will shave with my trusty disposables, tyvm, lol.
ReplyDeleteI saw your snapper fish on Ricks blog, very cute. So where did u decide it was going? if tmi, don't worry aobut it:))
This is my first time to visit your blog, and I like it. Stop by and visit mine sometime
Take care
Not only will Stew love it but everyone will too. It's a very rainy day here in the northeast and I spent 1.5 hours steaming out all the wrinkles in mine and my wife's wardrobe. I still have a little more to do but it definitely saved me several hours and dollars.
