Today: Kids to school, Steve to work (I drop him off) Mike to Uni.... then the day is all mine.
No plans, but thought I might give myself a shock and move my bed and vacum under it! It ain't been moved in years, so it should be fun! It is very low to the ground, just how much dust and crap could be under there????
And I want to finish tittivating the back yard. That's about it! later....
There ya go.... 6 years of dust!!! I was AMAZED I didnt' find 1000 Snickers Bar wrappers shoved down there though! I was sure I would ! So, that's another good job done in readiness for moving....
What next..... I bought a bed! I know, I know ... I should have waited till we got to Auckland.. but it was so NICE and a good PRICE on TradeMe... I couldn't resist!
I just spoke to Mike about him and Steve moving out on Saturday... would you believe it! that useless little shit still hasn't applied for the Student Allowance and reckons he can't afford to move out yet!!! FUCK THAT, I will give him money so he can move out on Saturday!!!! SATURDAY is it for me, I have had it with teenagers and their bloody mess. They have GOT TO GO.
End of Day: convinced Mike he really needs to go on Saturday, so all's good... picking up the new bed tomorrow...yipee.
NSV: have been rather good today even though I have tried to get the boys to buy me hot chips for dinner.... they wouldn't... the shits! Maybe they just lazy? Maybe they looking out for me? Nah, they just lazy! nite nite.
OK I had to look up "tittivating" because it couldn't possibly be what I thought it was.
ReplyDeleteHmm sounds like you will have dust wallabies under your bed.. not dust bunnies.. hahahaha
ReplyDeleteI would hate to think whats under mine also... but we have only been here 2 years... and I have had the bed out since we got here .... now behind my tv unit would be the murkiest part in my house I am thinking...
Oh! I love your hair too!
ReplyDeleteI'ts amazing what finds its way under furniture. I always cringe when something needs to be moved in my house.
LOL.......who plays with the toy cars in bed!!!!!!!!?
ReplyDeleteBuggar. You just reminded me what I was suppose to do last weekend. I don't feel so bad now knowing you hadn't done yours for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I'm a real shocker for forgetting to wipe the top of the fridge. It's just I'm so short I can't see that high. Outta sight, outta mind.
Good Luck with getting the boys to move out his weekend. I reckon they will miss their mum pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on kicking them out! That is just ridiculous-don't these kids have any pride?! When I was 18 (oh oh rant coming on!) I moved out into my own apartment with a job-that I lost-and then I moved back home promising it was for one month only-and it was...I even paid rent for that month and paid for my own food! Kids these days are frickin' pansies....sorry-but that's how I feel- I cannot imagine being a teenager and not totally wanting to live on my own! You should give them restrictions whilst living under your roof-then they'll want to leave I reckon...
ReplyDeleteOK-sorry-just venting-this is one reason why I don't have kids...LOL!

ReplyDeleteI love my kids to bits, but am looking forward to when they are able to move out. Not because I want them gone, but because I relish my own and dh's company and the peace and quiet. I am not happy with the current trend of kids staying home forever!!! Like your strategy of paying to get them to move out - hope it's enough to get them to go.
ReplyDeleteHa! I found a Matchbox car behind my bed the other day. Those bloody things turn up in the weirdest places! PS: love the hair too!
ReplyDeletenice bed
ReplyDeleteahhhhhhhh I so love the peace and quiet of a kid free house. Love when they come to visit with the grandies, but so love them going home too!!!
ReplyDeleteohhhhhh yeahhhhhhhhh I LOVE the hair too!!!
Maybe i should hoover under my bed...but then maybe not!
ReplyDeleteLovely hair! Good god you must be over the moon getting rid of those teenagers. My how they love to string things along, hope they learn fast how good they had it at home. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWOW I love your hair, the colour is fantastic and it looks so nice and in good condition - you lucky thing. It is really nice XCAthy
ReplyDeleteYou are a brave woman poting pics of your dust collection... I think thats pretty good for 6 years collection tho... we have a wood heater... so that amount would be equal to 12 months here....
