Heat sure zaps energy. Living in Sydney Australia most residences are prepared for our hot summers with air-conditioning. So far this summer it’s been tolerable because temperatures haven’t been over 35 degrees. The vinegar smell doesn't linger. But then I read the comment above from Leeann about vodka, and that might work too. I once removed awful cigarette/cigar smoke smell from a wool jacket with a light spray of vodka, and a good airing.

Unfortunately either method means you will have to unfold all the fabric, hang it on your drying rack, and fold it all up again when dry, but its worth a shot.

A Fan in Canada

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36007054.post-81264537715176741982022-01-03T17:36:06.770+13:002022-01-03T17:36:06.770+13:00Sometimes white vinegar will remove odors too. I got some old fabric from an estate and after googling found out that washing it in vodka works as the alcohol breaks down the chemical in the moth balls. I went to the bottle store and got the cheapest bottle I could and it worked!
