SUNDAY IN AUSTRALIA.... AND NEW ZEALAND

I am up bright and early this morning, and will be out at the International Airport hours before my flight!

Only because this sort of thing (International Travel) stresses me out.  I want to get checked in, get through customs and Immigration and then... I can just relax.

It was wonderful to get a comfortable night's sleep last night.  My room is lovely, no a speck of dust in sight, very clean, and I felt SAFE.

ABOVE:  Where I stayed last night, the Ibis, Brisbane Airport.  Really lovely.

ABOVE: Lorraine and her darling little granddaughter, Joyce.

ABOVE: THAT is what happens to me (all over) when I sit for days and days on end.  Fluid retention.  I will certainly be taking some Frusemide when I get home.  Even my face has gone all puffy.  Not a good look.

I'm going to jump in the shower, then get out of here.  I am catching a shuttle bus to the terminal.

...

Lol... I had a photo of the hospital up there, instead of the hotel.  I've fixed it now.  YES, I am VERY tired.

It's 7.28 am and soon I can check in for my flight home.

ABOVE.... boarded, and taking off RIGHT NOW! Eeeekkkk

I hate take off and landing. 10.55 am, bye bye Australia.

ABOVE: Going up....

LANDED. So relieved to be on NZ Soil again.

5.10 pm. Back with my darling,  and we are having an early dinner in Auckland,  before heading home.
I'm BONE TIRED again. I feel all foggy in my head, weird feeling.

Food....

7.57 pm:  we had a rather nice dinner of toasted sandwiches, before heading home to Hamilton.
We did a quick stop into Steve 'n' Bex's to say hi, then finally... HOME.
I am doing my unpacking tomorrow.  All I feel like doing right now is NOTHING.
Well... crawling into bed to get warm is high on my list, it is bloody freezing here.
Catch ya tomorrow.

I keep a packing list on my phone. Each time I return from a trip, I update the list. Then it is easy to remember the little things that make such a difference. I have a couple versions of this list, depending on where I am going.

I fly by myself several times a year. I also travel locally. I keep part of my bag packed all the time. I have duplicates of a lot of things, like charger cords, so my bag can just stay packed.

I wonder if you should find a small, easily packed, sewing project that you can take with you next trip. It could be something that you gift to family in Australia so you don’t have to take it home. Knitting/crocheting, embroidery, cross stitch, handwork come to mind.

It could also be a sudoku or word find book. It could be games on your phone.

Maybe you already did this. I do much better if I have something to do.

My guess is despite the bother of flying twice, it was nice to get home and regroup.
