Some snaps I took before leaving Australia...
ABOVE: In the ward Lorraine was in, there was a wall of photos of staff's pets. Mostly cats and dogs... and these:ABOVE: Two fish from I have to presume, the same family. Linguine and Fettucine. And then there was...
ABOVE: This was an atrium at the PA (Princess Alexandra) Hospital. It was lovely. I actually thought the hospital was really well laid out, clean, tidy and easy to navigate around.
ABOVE: The only Diet Coke I got in a glass bottle. It was a bottle shape I'd never encountered before. I almost brought it home, but yeah, nah.
9.45 am, and I have finally got all the morning jobs done.
OH MY GOD it is so cold! I have the heat pump on, I just can't move when I'm this cold.
I think the insulation in this house might need looking at, and perhaps even retrofit double glazing. It is THAT cold in here. It's warmer OUTSIDE I swear.
I am about to put some face on and go out and about, do some jobs that need doing.
Then I'll come home and potter around here again.
Sorry I've been 'absent' for so long today, but I really just needed to take some time out.
I did all the jobs I needed/wanted to do, then came home, had some lunch then lay down with my feet up.
I didn't take any piddle pills today as I was out and about, but will tomorrow.
I will be home all day tomorrow.
There's a reason for that, but I ain't saying why... you will just have to wait to find out. Tomorrow.
ABOVE: I took Coco out for a walk late this afternoon, she totally loved it. I mean, you couldn't wipe the smile off her face, she was so happy.ABOVE: She was into everything, sniffing like crazy everywhere. At one point she almost fell in the river, luckily she's on a leash and I could haul her back up the bank!!!
Bet it's great to be back 😊
ReplyDeleteI do not like take off and landing either. And I stomp the brakes too. Ha. I hope the swelling you've encountered has gone down some. Ky Girl
ReplyDeleteI have a long history of sleeping thru takeoffs. I tend to fall asleep once I get settled in my seat and then wake up a while after we are to cruising height. I can’t explain it.
ReplyDeleteVickie
Airplanes put me to sleep also. Nothing else does.
DeleteThose fish names🤣
ReplyDeleteWelcome home. Glad you made it back safe & sound.
ReplyDeleteWho names a fish Louise, I would. Great name for a fish. I had a good laugh. Gigi
ReplyDeleteLeave your heater on or move to a warm climate...lol...Peta
ReplyDeleteIt's always warmer outside my house than in. My power bill will be through the roof because we've had the heater on a lot this winter. We have a mutual FB friend, and she and I share a long-time friend who underwent a liver transplant a few years ago. I believe she was in the same hospital. She often goes back for check ups and such there, so she knows it very well. xx Colleen
ReplyDeleteAnnette had her liver transplant at PA 32 years ago. We were there for 3 months so she could have follow up tests. The shops were nothing exciting then but the hospital staff were lovely. It's freezing down here today too. Even with the heat pump on. KjBetter you go and windows hop. Malls are bound to be warmer.
ReplyDeleteI just think it is colder than usual, I spent the weekend in Auckland and to me it was colder than Canterbury, which is very unusual. At least when we get a good frost here, a beautiful day follows. Was a bit lucky as my brother in Auckland has central heating, but it was freezing out! I hope you warm up soon. Margaret
ReplyDeleteDefinitely look at the insulation in your roof. At our rental property we had to upgrade the insulation twice to meet the new healthy homes requirement. We don't have double glazing but we do have central ducting for our airconditioning - our place is never cold.
ReplyDeleteGood work on the tv sale
ReplyDeleteAnother box ticked ✅
Cheers 🥂
How cute is that wall in the hospital.
ReplyDeleteMy guess for why you are at home tomorrow is that the new lounge suite is arriving?
