SCRAPPY DOLLS

Yaaa, no one is coming into my house today.  I can do what I want, when I want.

The first thing on my list today is to finish off the Scrappy Dolls.

I got one finished last night:

ABOVE: She is the smallest one of the five I'm making right now.  I shall have the other four finished by the end of the day, all going well.

After lunch I am visiting Bex and kids.  I want to snaffle a bit of multi-coloured wool off her for Scrappy Doll hair.

After that I'm going to Mitre 10 and Bunnings to look at handles for... the kitchen.  Also Plumbing World for the vanity handles.  Surrey, a blog reader, suggested I try there, so there I shall go. 😂😊

2.45 pm. I am finally able to do an update for today.
First up, I got the Scrappy Dolls finished.

ABOVE:  I'm happy with how they all came out.  Tomorrow I plan on making two more, using different coloured 'bibs'.
After finishing the dolls, I visited Bex, Lily and Archer.  All good there.  Didn't grab any wool after all... I found a ball of it in the sewing room.
I then went to Mitre 10 and found...

ABOVE: 11 of the 18 handles I want for the kitchen cupboards.   I've ordered the other 7, they should arrive in a week or two.  I opted for the exact same handles, only in black.

ABOVE:  My next stop was Chartwell Square, where I found these lovely fish coasters, to match our fish placemats.  TICK TICK.
YES, I know I could make some, but I didn't want to.  I love the fish.
Then I took off to Spotlight.

ABOVE: At Spotlight I bought more Rick Rack for doll's hair, as I have run out of most colours.
Then I came home.
Cos I ran out of energy.  Seriously, shopping is hard work.
What have YOU  been up to today?  Anything interesting, juicy, fun... well?
3.55 pm:  Yaaa, the plumber just arrived to take away the old hot water cylinder and heater.  I wasn't sure if he was coming back or not.  Best go have a yak, cos that man likes a yak. lol

7.50 pm:  we are just home from the pub.  A nice evening, I visited the kids for a while (as per usual), then met Stew and the group for hot chips etc.
Time to blob out with me hot pod and blankie.
Catch ya tomorrow.

If you have no luck getting handles try kitchen manufacturers, as they have a big selection of them and could order some in for you. Margaret

  2. You need to go to Handlesplus in East Tamaki - look online at their webpage. They stock the long bathroom type handles you need. You can get them couriered or go pick up.

When we built, 23+ years ago, I had to order all the knobs and pulls. I ordered some pretty fun stuff.

Had a call from a supplier rep friend who was in the area inviting me to lunch, so I went. Brought ice cream on the way home to drop off at my house (which was around the corner from the restaurant) before coming back to work. Bumped into the daughter who was at my house visiting her dad before she, too, goes to work. So busy couple of hours! xx Colleen.

I slept in, I have been working really long hours recently and needed it. Also have a sore back so it was good to sleep with the painkillers the doctor gave me yesterday. Now I'm procrastinating getting stuck back into work!

  12. Yesterday - Pickleball
    Today - Pickleball

Later Today - New Computer torture.
Trying to figure out how to get programs transported over. Especially our financial software. I hate it sooo much I have been procrastinating for a week! But that also means I have not been shipping orders, and that can not go on indefinitely.
