MIRROR, MIRROR...

I'm clutching at straws to come up with stuff to write about!
NO PUPPIES.  *sniff*
NO DRAMA.  *yeah!*

Just sewing.

"Mirror, Mirror?"

Well... when I'm sewing I have my back to the door.  And more often than not I'm listening to music on the little telly beside me.  I love The Bee Gees and Barry ... oh he's right up there with Tom Hanks as my 'crushes'.  lol

Anyway, back to the mirror... see it above?  It's there so no one can creep up on me and deliberately give me a fright... not mentioning any one in particular STEVE, who love to creep up and make me jump outta me skin!

I know that area looks a right bloody mess, but let me tell you... I know where everything is... *smiles*.

ABOVE:  three rows done.  I am exhausted just looking at it right now.  Getting that third row on last night was freaking hard work.
Today I am going to get rows 4 & 5 done and joined before trying to join them to the other rows.  I'm pretty sure I said that last night?  Oh well... we oldies tend to repeat ourselves after a while.

lol... better get used to it!

What else... I will possibly take the kids to the Botanic Gardens.  Bex went yesterday to look at the Sculptures in the Park exhibition.  So maybe I shall take me camera and try and get some nice photos... shit that's a good idea!
Good practice with me camera.

ONWARD...

SPARKLING:  awww thanks for the compliment, but if you could see it up close it's no work of art!  There's heaps of little 'boo boos', but nothing too glaringly obvious.  A professional quilt maker would probably notice all the little slip ups!

I spend a lovely 2 hours down in the Botanic Gardens this morning, on my own... which was BLISS.
I took photos of every single 'Sculpture' on display, and will show you after I've had me lunch.

Awesome progress made this afternoon, I got rows 4 & 5 made, and am almost ready to join them together.
I've taken a break as I have a cracker jack headache.

Lacy and Keera are here.  Lacy has a course to attend tonight, and after a change of plans, she is going to Tauranga tonight instead of tomorrow.  So we have Keera for 3 nights instead of 2.

Bex is going to listen out for her overnight as her cot is now in the spare bedroom.
That way Stew and I get an uninterrupted night's sleep.  Very nice of Bex to offer to do that.

As you can probably see, I've not had a chance to edit the Garden Sculpture photos yet.  Maybe tonight or even tomorrow now.  This headache is kinda draining.

OK... all today's photos will be on the blog tomorrow.  There will be LOTS AND LOTS of them!

End of Day: a lovely day, I really enjoyed my meander through the Botanic Gardens today.  And all the sewing I got done.
nite nite

  13. Love the quilt! Big hug to you for all your hard work. I love a warm afternoon at our Botanical Gardens (just not right now...it's 20 degrees outside!) I love how your family pulls together for each other! Never a dull moment, huh? By the way, a Shark Navigator is a vacuum cleaner. It's not the top of the line, but it's sooooooooooooo much better than the piece of $#*! I've been using. I am inspired by your energy level...keep it up, girlfriend!
