OUR DAY AWAY ... IN PHOTOS

Right, here's some photos from our trip away yesterday:

ABOVE:  the fat quarters I got.  OMGosh, I have to go back there!  They had the biggest selection of 'Kits' for bags, quilts, wall hangings I have ever seen.  *drooling*

** Yes, I spelt Mt Maunganui wrong in the collage.

ABOVE:  a lovely American lady saw me taking a photo of Stew on the beach and offered to take one of both of us.  So, I have this really lovely photo of us now.

Some of the weather was just gorgeous.  I was surprised at how many people were in the water surfing!  The water was bloody cold!  But there were some really awesome waves out there.

ABOVE:  I couldn't resist taking their photo.  They seemed to be perfectly happy in their travel box.

ABOVE:  me with my niece Maxine, I'd not seen her in a long time, so it was lovely to catch up with her.  Shoddy phone camera photo.

When we got home I had mail.  A lovely card from the Vet's, saying how they felt Flint was a lucky wee puppy to be born into such a loving and caring family.   And this little saying: "Pets may leave our arms, But they never leave our hearts."  I almost cried again.

Right, today is dedicated to housework, and looking after Miss Keera and spending quality time with the other members of the family.

ONWARD...

Well I did say it would be a housework type of day, and I wasn't wrong.
We have done the grocery shopping, wasn't too bad.  We went before lunch, and the supermarket wasn't very busy at all.

I've been fluffing around in the garage, tidying it up.   I also cooked up a heap more dog food, though I did have to yell at Steve a few times as he kept eating it!  It's only steak and mince stew, so it isn't inedible to humans... sadly!

Miss Keera is being a right imp, doesn't want to have her nap after lunch.  *sigh*

I'm going to try and get face photos of all the pups today too... all their eyes are open now.

ABOVE:  our little darlings today.  I've just weighed them all, and they are all doing so well!  I have no qualms about any of them.  Thank goodness!

Can you tell who is who yet?  *smiles*  I sure can.

End of Day:  It's been a really good day.  Very relieved to have the shopping done for another fortnight.  Everyone seems to be happy in the house, this is a good thing.
Keera and Dante are down for the night, so I might just kick back and do a little sewing... or reading?  I have a good 'book' I'm reading on me Kindle right now... I just keep forgetting I have a Kindle!
nite nite
