EXERCISE... OR LACK THEREOF.

Today, I might just try working out a home based exercise regime ... one that is sustainable for me right now.

I want to start slowly building my fitness back up... maybe not to the level I had it at 6 years ago... when I was going to the gym 6 days a week and being quite anal about it... but to a point where I am feeling a shit load better than I do right now!

So... once the kids are at school I'm going to go down to the garage and give it some serious thought.... while looking at me gym equipment!

Then I might even do some exercise....

NOW, what else is on me agenda for the day?
As Bex is here, maybe we will go and visit Lacy and Miss Muppet for a little while.

And of course, there is always some housework to do....
And sewing.
And preparing dinner.
And ... well you get the drift.... a normal day.

Been nutting out my next Baby Quilt.  I wanted Bex here to help me as it's for her and Steve's baby:

ABOVE:  we are working on a 'giraffe' theme, jungle theme type thing.  This is by no means how the quilt will look when finished, there will be more animals and 'stuff', I just have to work it out still!

ONWARD...

  2. Good luck with working out your excercise regime. I hope you figure out a plan that works for you.....I keep trying but never stick to anything very long except walking. The thing I appreciate about you is that you will tell it like it is however it works out and you will keep trying.

  6. I'm in the same boat re exercise. I neeed to move my body more. Been reading again about high blood pressure and I have no hope of reducing medication unless I get more active.

So today I get cracking AGAIN. Sigh!

The good thing is I will feel better.

Have a lovely day with Bex.

    Blessings

Love the colours & jungle theme for Bex's baby quilt. Enjoy your day, I can't believe we're in August already. Will you be starting to think about Xmas soon and making cards, sewing projects, etc in the lead up? I better start thinking about it myself! Cheers Glenys

Chris -I am not a motivated person in the exercise department. I finally plugged the Wii back in today and hubs and I played 3 games of bowling. I have to start exercising and moving. These old bones need it. Maybe the Wii will help me get back into the grove of it.

    Good luck to you!!

  12. What about walking the kids to school & then walking home but around the block or something so that it takes say 30 minutes. I used to do that when I had days off work & the kids were at primary school and I noticed a few of the other Mums started doing it too. Then exercise is out of the way & you can go home and get stuck into the stuff you want to (or the housework).

  15. Missed the drama again but so sorry these anon people keep trying to bully you.

Remember to start slow with the exercise. Nothing can be gained from going all out at first. Maybe try making a space for it in your life so it can slowly become a regular part of your routine.

Just like cleaning the floors or quilting:)
