I'VE GOTTA GET OUT OF BED EARLY TODAY

It is ok though .... I don't mind getting up early cos today at around 8am my new bed is being delivered!
I can't wait.   OH hell I hope it helps Stew and I sleep better.  I'm gunna be mega pissed off if it doesn't.

This will be the first new bed in over 15 years... long overdue.

After our bed arrives we are going to pick Lacy up and take her to her midwife appointment, much to her disgust I'm sure.  She wanted Miss Muppet to arrive before today.
The only thing I can say is.... She WILL ARRIVE eventually!

*** PEPSI UPDATED *** PEPSI UPDATED ***  PEPSI UPDATED ***

The following is a couple of photos I took yesterday in The Botanic Gardens:

ABOVE:  Gorgeous tree.

ABOVE:  A bumble bee... he was so cute!

ONWARD...

Not a comfortable night, slept in Griffin's bed... it's a bit small for Stew and I... luckily it was only for 1 night.
The delivery guys said they would arrive around 8am this morning... but the darlings arrived at 7.35am instead!

LUCKILY for them I was already up and dressed... or their day would have been ruined by the sight of me in me nightie!  lol

So, the bed is now waiting until tonight for Steve and Stew to put it together.  I ain't even gunna try and put the two base bits together... I watched Stew take our old bed base apart and it didn't look like fun.

I'm gunna have a nice hot Milo and then pick up Lacy...

Steve had time to put the bed together before he went to work....  yaaaa! Now all I have to do is put the sheets etc on.  Photo to come later... the new bed is way higher than our old one!

Midwife visit went OK... she said she lets her mother's go to 12 days overdue before considering induction.... so we could still be waiting for Miss Muppet in a week or two!

Home now... and I'm just chilling out for a little while ... then I will make me new bed.  Pain in me shoulder is driving me nuts... better take some nurofen...

HAPPY ELF MOM: Milo is a type of chocolate drink... I can't believe you don't have it there!
It's yum.

NEW BED:

ABOVE:  you probably can't really tell just how high it is... but I sure can.  Hell I hope I don't forget how high it is and fall outta bed tomorrow!
My Headboard now looks totally insignificant!  I might just have to build a new one.... hmmmm....

MARK:  you are so right!  I want to jump into it right now!

Spending the afternoon watching some telly that we've recorded.  Nice and quiet.

Looks like Lacy MIGHT have just had a 'show'.... waiting to check out the nether regions in an hour or so...

Two hours later... not sure what is happening.  MIGHT be early labour.
I will be DAMNED PISSED if I don't get to sleep in me lovely new bed tonight!
Oh well... we will see.

End of Day:  all 'show'.. no do it would seem.  Lots of cramping but no real cervical pain.  *sigh*  Could be a long night.
Nite nite.

10.00pm ..JUST GOT A TEXT FROM RUSSELL'S PARTNER IN AUSTRALIA, SHE'S HAVING CONTRACTIONS SPORADICALLY ... SO IT'S ALL GO!

10.35PM.... LACY'S WATER JUST BROKE.
ONWARD!

I'M VERY GLAD OUR LOUNGE SUITES ARE MADE OF LEATHER, COS LACY IS GUSHING WORSE THAN NIAGRA FALLS!
I'M TAKING HER FOR A BRISK WALK DOWN THE STREET... AT 11.30PM.

  3. Hope the bed is perfect for you. I had a new bed and my aches and pains vanished almost over night. I also slept better than ever and any stress I used to wake with is now a rarity. My new bed has done more for me than any doctor or pills. I so hope you find the same for you.

Checkout this link to a post about posture when sewing. I think your sore shoulder maybe from sewing.
I know if my sewing machine is too high my neck and shoulders ache.

It must have been difficult to get a new bed early in the morning and then have to wait alllll. Day and evening to use it. I'd have a new bed delivered late in the afternoon.
    Sweet Dreams!

  9. Oh love the new bed!!!! Looks similar to one that my inlaws got - I have trouble sitting on it due to my shortness! LOL We are hoping to get a new bed (once we pay off the lounge suite - pymts finish Jan 13) so not to much longer to wait!
Oh haven't gotten around to posting the wee package yet but will do so tomorrow all going well :)

  10. lol, our beds like that. just about need a stepladder to get in. In the mornings I just slide out. But once I'm in it's just the best place to bed. Hope it does the trick and you start getting some decent nights sleep.

If Lacy has had a show you might not get to sleep in your bed tonight! Exciting stuff.

  14. Hi Chris,

This might not reassure you, but one night last year I actually fell out of bed while I was asleep. I woke up having hit my head on the beside table (a 14 inch TV) and with David asking "what the hell are you doing down there?"

Lots of jokes from my sisters followed about how even their kids managed to stop falling out of bed eventually...

Hope you are safe. It will help it being big - I remember sleeping in a super king bed once and I kept losing David. And no, not intentionally!

Hope you are all snuggled up with Stew as I type this.

  20. FYI before Samyson was born we tried all the old wives tales - hot curry, hot bath & hot s@& almost all at the same time. During labour we went for long walks and as soon as the contractions got bad we would head back to the hospital only to feel nothing so there is no guarantee anything will work Miss Muppet will arrive when she is good & ready.
