ANONYMOUS COMMENTOR

I almost never publish comments from Anonymous commentors, unless they sign them with their name... so I didn't publish YOURS.

Now that's said... I'm going to Drury today to drop off Brylee's quilt to be professionally quilted... it will be about a month to 6 weeks till it's back... so on with the next TWO eh? I am doing the next one in a different way...it's called "Quilt as you go"... so that way I don't ever have to pay someone else to do it for me again.

So, there ya go... another day started... sorta crabby... but optimistic my day will only get BETTER.

The COMMENT: was not 'nasty'... it was from someone who thought I should be careful what I say on MY BLOG about my daughters as it can hurt their feelings.

I do not tell lies on this here blog, I call a spade a spade... get used to it. I will not change myself to suit anyone else, I am how I am. I do not set out to hurt people... I can and do REACT to certain situations though... I am HUMAN.

Stew is kinda ANNOYED that I am once again considering deleting my blog due to 'someone' getting their tits in a knot over it. He believes that I should put on MY BLOG whatever the hell I want... and stuff anyone else. I agree.... but I am still pissed off.

What fun! I went out the the Quilter's home.... we yakked for 2 hours! She showed me how the machine worked, showed me lots of stitch patterns she could use on my quilt ... it was neat! She was expecting to see a 'traditional Cathedral Widows Quilt' that I had made... and was very surprised to see mine as it was so 'different' from the 'norm'. She loved my quilt.... and I don't think she was just saying that either!

ABOVE: her studio... and my quilt. She had said she wouldn't be able to start work on my quilt till the end of April, but now that she's seen it she wants to get to work on it straight away! Awwwwww.

ABOVE: this was her outdoor Chess set... I thought it was really awesome! They are made from a thick polycarbonate material and filled at the bottom with sand.

I have been doing a little bit of sewing... and a LOT of housework! *sigh*... some bugger has to do it!

Now.. I have to sort out dinner....

End of Day: can I just say that "quiting as you go" is not that bloody easy either! pffffft. nite nite.

  2. Anon commentators tend to piss me off. If you have something to say, at least have the guts to stick a name to it ...that's my take, anyway..

My day started off a bit crabby as well.. a hang over from last night. Stupid, bloody American eductaion system that insists that a 56 yr old man needs to prove that he has a High School Diploma or GED, before they will issue him a certificate for a course that he has just done !! Oh, and they won't accept the fact that the proof is on his American Military records, even though that was issued by the Federal Govt.

I swear, it's not the Arabs that the US should be afraid of...it's the sheer weight of red tape and beurocracy that will eventually sink this country!!

OK..now on with my day :-) You have a good one, ok :-)

  12. If you can't out your name to something don't bother doing or saying it, that's my motto.

Why don't you set your comments so it dosn't accept anonymous comments.

Hope you have a good day despite the bad start

  13. What a beautiful quilt.

You could have a fight show type blog where somebody puts an asinine anonymous comment and the rest of us have fun telling her what a shit she is. It could be fun.

Tits in a knot, hee hee.

  14. ((Chris)) Your blog, your life. YOUR relationship with YOUR daughters, and furthermore it's YOUR business what YOU want to share...

Good grief on the commenter. How about she emails you privately with concerns like that? You have your email RIGHT ON THE BLOG. Not like you're hiding under a rock or anything.

I luuuuv the chess set though. I have some guys who like to play and they would enjoy this immensely.

  16. The wonderful thing about a blog is that you can make it whatever you want. It is a reflection of you. If someone doesn't like it, THEY SHOULDN'T READ IT. Don't stop blogging because of one bad egg.

  17. I love you just the way you are, and I'd certainly miss you if you were gone. :-(

  18. Wow, that woman is well set up to do your quilt!! I think it will be money well spent to have your quilts finished beautifully.

I think you are very clever (even if a little obsessive compulsive). What will you do when you house is full of quilts? lol - have fun and don't eat all the choc in that bottom drawer.

  19. You know, I think your daughters know you by now, and know you would never intend to hurt them.

Say what you like, after all it's YOUR blog, is it not? It's all about YOU and what YOU want and think, no some do-gooder who thinks they are the blog police.

Whatever you do, Please don't close it down. We all love your blog and it's very funny and entertaining. Don't let 'em win, Chris!

  21. Chris,

I commented a few weeks ago about why I enjoy reading your blog, it is your wonderful sense of humor. I for one, would be very disappointed if you stopped blogging. Remember,it is "your" blog, so you are free to write what you like.
P.S. Can't wait to see the completed quilt.

    Hope your day went well.

    :)

  22. Hey don't you stop blogging because of some anon comment...they sux!

woohoooo can't wait to see the finished quilt.

  23. Most of the anonymous comments I get are from my asshole friends.

Definitely don't delete your blog over some stupid persons mindless and unfounded opinion.

  24. I love the "tits in a knot" need to remember that! You better not delete your blog, your so funny and honest! Makes my day! My mother has sewn all her life and still sends her quilts to be done by a professional. You are talented and of course the quilting lady saw that. Personally I think the anonymous commenter should leave her "tits in a knot" and stay off your blog!

  25. Chris, I join in with the others in saying please don't delete your blog. I love, love, love, seeing what you're doing...painting, sewing, decorating, planting and of course, shopping... Your wit, your love for your family and husband and others is very evident in your blog so piss on snarky people!

  26. Put that thought out of your head. Say what you want. If someone doesn't like it, they don't have to stop by and read. Hope you have a fun weekend.

  27. Chris, i wouldn't want you to be anything other than who you are. I love ya just the same. :)

  28. I had this similar experience when I asked people to comment on my house owners versus renters. I did say that I didn't mind anyone being anonymous if they wanted but I found one anonymous commentor just tried to insult me, not to comment on what I had asked.

I think if you are going to leave an anonymous insult then you are as gutless as they come.

You are who you are, and I am who I am, and I will NEVER not say what I want on my blog. EVER. So fire up and stop thinking about deleting your blog, just throw a bit of abuse to anonymous and be on with it.
