Hi! Janene here, updating for Chris...
10.30am - just had a call from Stew to say that Chris had very heaving bleeding and clotting over night so took herself off to hospital at 5am this morning. She's currently in the gyno ward waiting to be seen by a Doctor.
They've put a drip in her arm so you can imagine the chaos that would have caused - remembering that Chris HATES needles with a passion!
Stew is going to keep me updated, and I'll let you know when I hear more, but hopefully Chris will be home later and able to update herself.
5.15 pm... HELLO THERE, HOW WAS YOUR DAY? MINE WAS F**KN CRAP!!! It's Chris, I'm home!
Rundown on today:
- huge bleeding/clots all night, no sleep
- 5 am I got real scared.... so took myself to hospital
- Was admitted, friggin needles stuck in me arm (again), blood work done etc, put on drip to counteract loss of fluids.
- Admitted to Gyny ward, await Doctors
- Doctors arrive, see the huge amount of blood and clots I am losing, try to stop the bleeding. Apparently I have an infection that has caused the wounds on my cervix to open and GUSH blood everywhere...The doctors tried for over an hour to staunch the flow... meanwhile I'm hyperventilating, I faint, I spew, you name it, I did it.
- Doctors could not stop the bleeding, so I am taken to theatre for another operation.
- Anethetists GAS ME TO SLEEP !!! Fuck go figure!
- Come to feeling like shit, spew some more.....NICE. The doctor estimates I lost over 2 litres of blood, if not more, and that's just what I lost in the hospital!
- Wait 3 hours for things to settle down, get antibiotics and get sent home with strict instructions to take it easy.... yeah right!
And guess what? Stew has to wait another full 6 weeks for his next nookie!
And I'm as white as a ghost, not a good look. I dyed my hair yesterday afternoon, it all yellow now! Goes with the white face.
So... what does over 2 litres of blood weigh ???????
That's all for now, I'm buggered and going to lie down for a while.
Don't hold your breath for more from me today, I am totally wiped out and am going to bed! Sorry I have not been aroung the blogs to day either, had something 'better' to do! NOT. Thank you all for your care and concern, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for the update, I must admit I thought something must be up as there was no update this morning & I was hoping that it was nothing serious.
I am sorry to hear that! I hope she is ok, I did think it was strange that she had not updated early in the morning as normal.

As my Norwegian friend used to say " bloody fuck!" (which incidently, it would be *groan*).
The blood would weigh about 2kg, but if you're going to go to those sort of lengths may I recommend amputating a limb? Nutter.
I am very glad to hear that you are on the improve. One little thing goes wrong and you call the ambos...with my extensive medical training I am not all that sure that you shouldn't have stayed in overnight for observation. At least I have your address so that I can send Stew some flowers!

As for 2litres blood loss ... holy shit woman!! We only have 5litres of blood in our bodies ... that's it!! So basically you lost 40% of your blood!! (which btw is 2kgs worth in weight since you asked)
